I think the funniest part of the movie is the beginning where that American flag wearing suicide bomber attacks Like yes movie you are trying to make us belive that a what I assume far right American loving person is willing to suicide bomb themselves You want me to believe that when there's a specific group of people that don't fit that description yet are well know for their ideological fuelde attacks that include the tacking of suicide bomb,bi won't say what group but I assume everyone knows That or that a far right person would do that when in the last few months we've seen people lit themselves on fire due to a cause an both times that happened they were very much liberal left leaning causes If seen more realism in fantasy movies

10:00 Yeah that's pretty silly. Once hostilities escalate to such an extent being neutral tends to make you every factions target. However noble your motivations may be. You probably won't last long without aligning yourself with a faction.

It's like the people who made this movie has never seen a historical war movie. Rationing, conscription, labour's crisis. Even in movies not directly about war itself (such as shindlers list) covers this

Wow we really have been treated too so many *amazing* films/TV this past few weeks. Civil war, Rebel Moon part 2 of 6 and Now Velma... I'm honestly shocked we haven't all died from the shock of it all. Hmmm... actually maybe we did. I think we should check that we are not in fact dead and in hell. What possible sin did we commit to get those back to back?

It’s so sad, because I was actually writing something like this almost two years ago, to find out someone brought that concept to a AAA budget and it flopped with no emotional impact is just disappointing, and it kinda discouraged me from continuing to write that story because now I’m worried this film is the first thing people think about when they see “Civil War 2” anywhere.
@David_the_Psalmist7 ай бұрын
If you spin it as a warring states period, that might help perception. Make it more like an American version of Sengoku Jidai and less a rehash of the American Civil War.
@5FingerBallad7 ай бұрын
@@David_the_Psalmist Not a bad idea, and yeah, it’s more of a graphic anthology idea using a modern Civil War as the backdrop, aiming to be violent with each short story covering a different aspect of how war destroys us from the inside out (from the political, corporate, military, civilian, religion and ideology)

This movie has been making the rounds lately. Sounds like a lot of people have been elevating it because of the primise but not really the movie itself. Because this feels like something that's really half baked idea wise and wants the meta commentary to do most of the work for it.

I didn't completely agree with some peoples wholesale dismissal of a California-Texas alliance. But if the movie wanted to play it that way they had a lot of work to do as to how that came about. I'm not asking for a complete history just give me something to work with for crying out loud.
@blurhavokofficial6 ай бұрын
The explanation would have to be airtight. Anything less would be picked apart easily.
@mitchellline42426 ай бұрын
Honestly this movie probably would've done better if they kept the factions more vague. Like "The Liberty Army" vs "The Freedom army" with no real context on either sides politics. As well they should've just ditched their attempt at being an action movie and war journalist plot to instead depict a simpler "war is hell" plot about refugees/survivors just trying to make it out alive. A good example of this is the video game "This War of Mine"
@blurhavokofficial6 ай бұрын
The movie probably would have benefited from having a different title. Something like "The True Story" or "Integrity"; people going in understandably expecting a war movie because of the title "Civil War" wouldn't have been let down if the title wasn't a borderline lie.
@trashboat53886 ай бұрын
I'm pretty sure the point of Cali and Texas being allied is to tell people looking to confirm their biases that the movie isn't taking sides regarding current-day politics. It isn't about a hypothetical Civil War 2 that just happens to be the setting of the movie. This video here put into words better than I could... kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYilq42Arc2Eqrssi=oj0GGO7dDEGwJxgZ

The movie titled "Civil War" is not about a hypothetical Second Civil War? Many people say this movie isn't about the Civil War (despite the title), yet no one can outright *say* in certain terms what it actually is about. (No, I'm not clicking that link; I have no idea where it goes or what it does)
