As depicted NO! The U.S. is too big for any current military to hold. Collective punishment will only work temporarily and only in the larger cities. Much more likely commerce outside of the major cities close to a crawl and food shipments into the major cities get cut off.

@@TheModernSurvivalist If the U.S. breaks up you can forget about large scale engagements. More like an armed group walks "deviants" into the woods with shovels and only the armed group and the shovels come back................. and that happens all over the country.

I think the concept was better explored in the TV show "Jericho" from 2007. I don't see a second CW happening anytime soon - the government is currently functional enough to infiltrate and disrupt dissenters, of course that could change in time.

“Complicated moment “ you can say that again from a Canadian at the moment have our own political disaster going on I just watched the Labour Party on bbc give a very conservative speech I believe the west at the moment is shifting to the right very aggressively

I thought it was good. A movie that's too real, politically speaking, won't get made. I liked that the makers didn't really take any sides. California and Texas joining forces ... that's perfect! It just shows the destruction of civil war... that's all it needed to do.
