Hi! Why did you consider the member selfweight and at the same time you assign as distributed forces the beam and column weight? You are considering the concrete member selfweight twice? And must the floor slab be meshed to transmit the forces to all beams? You are attaching this slab just to the four corners of the building. Thanks

I also felt this . It got double load selfweight + member weight of column. Method of placing slab at four corner of building .It should have room to room plate.How it will be possible?

I have run the structure as presented. I have found that for panel 1 and 3 the slenderness indicated is more than admissible. Also the floor load on slab needs to be assigned as per the slab panels. Moreover, providing dead load of slab as well as beam in addition to self weight command doubles the load on the structure . Is it an undeclared lacuna in STAAD Pro that though self weight command is given we have to separately add self weight of beams, columns and slab as DL? I have seen this in other designs presented earlier. I am surprised to note that the seven story building does not have a lift and a staircase to move to storeys either. Provision of lift machine room and staircase headroom shall have their own effect for wind and seismic loads also. In many cases overhead water tanks are also constructed for potable as well as other uses which also need consideration in modelling as well as analysis and design. It is okay if the design is in initial stages for a single storey building. I think while presenting high rise buildings and following the code, load reduction shall also be applied with the rise in floor.

Bro you are supposed to design different panel for each floor You can't just make a single shear wall for all the floors. It should be different for each floor

As per this case I was considered a single panel shear wall through out the building. If I design shear wall in each floor separately it will generate n number of panels for the building it is very difficult to design n number of shear walls in STAAD Pro software

Self Weight is already assigned using -Y command. Why are you again adding self weight using udl both for columns and beams ? All elements are selected to design both column as well as beam. Assign beams and columns design separately.
