I guess you have to mesh the plate before analysis

Hello Mr. John Wick. Thank u for ur valuable comments. u can create d plate with generate surface mesh or with add 4 node plate cursor.both process is applicable to create slab . We r using the mesh to show d division of horizontal & vertical reinforcement,& specing. But If u defin d section property of slab/thickness & clear cover (during d design part )then Staad will automatically calculate d number of reinforcement & dia of reinforcement (top and bottom reinforcement of slab /wall)so u also go through without meshing, only use the 4node plate cursor to create slab/wall, during create plate makesure about surface colour.(default colour: green in top, grey in bottom surface) & define the thickness of slab/wall.& It will also before d analysis. We hv to complete d modeling part & assign all d parameters (support, section property,Load) before Ananyse/Run the structure.,So this procedure is correct.if u yet hv any doubt then ask me.

@@CadTechOnlineSoftware Yeah i got the design part. But i am not sure about the reinforcement calculated by staad without meshing of the plates. I will revert back with some reference. If you have some points regarding this pls add and show some references from technical manual it will be better for both 👍.

@@johnwick9170 ok. incase of retaining wall,we have to create a surface/plate with a perticular thickness (as per wall thickness),it's not necessary to mesh the surface .if u want to create the slab & wall with mesh then it's also ok. You just have to use generate surface mesh command to create this two different surface. After that the procedure from the define parameters like assigning Support thickness,& Load it will b same like this video. So it will b better for u... 1.1st of all u have to insert the nodes as per the height width & length of the wall.. 2.then go to geometry click on generate surface mesh command Then click one by one to create mesh check the plate colour (tick on fill plate solid surface) check the division. 3.after that assign support 4.assign thickness .25mm/.5mm 5.Assign the loads 6.Go to select and check by missing attributes-missing property 7.analysis/Run 8.Postprocessing 9.check the max absolute(surface colour as per the stress) And go to view output file check all loads results stress and deflection then u will understand the difference...or u can compare all the results. So go through this procedure. Thank you.

So what is the conclusion ,in all videos i have seen after using plate cursor meshing is following , now in this that step is skipped ,can you explain this meshing in what situation inevitable @@CadTechOnlineSoftware

@@nandakumar7161 cool dear. After using plate cursor (meshing part) I have explained only first step,,coz the next part is same ,,if I don't skip this process then this video will take so much time,,we hv to save every second while creating videos,,no one like to watch the same steps /process,,,in case of writing part ,if there is same line that case also we skip the line,,same here.so follow the procedure & all steps,,try to recover d software steps like how to model a structure,,how to add support, property & load ,and how to mesh any plate structure like slab/wall,,& also the advanced modelling & foundation part...Its better DNT find others mistake,it's waste of time . If u have so much time thn try to recover the Staad pro v8i software and it's advanced part,,.& follow my free suggestion.. All d best.Go ahead .👍🤞
