Hi, excuse me begin naive, I've always wondered if there was a way to sign up to do all the training and then be sent off on a tour, I would like to go on tour and serve my country, I dont want to join and wait around going to gym and doing training for years to then leave ( i dont mean that in a disrespectful manner as it may not be that way ) I dont want to be disrespectful asking this as am unsure how the system works but would there be a way to be almost drafted to the front lines (even tho I understand there isn't much deployment at the moment) after completing training in other words?

Then, I served with you guys and the British guys showed that they were very capable warfighters. Even though we went through a lot of tough times in the field, we had so much damn fun. The Brits love to get drunk and have fun at the bar. Every time we did a joint training exercise we would have such a blast at the bars and yall randomly break out in a song. That was the most hilarious thing to me. I would be sitting there like "How the hell did they memorize all these lyrics???" Lmaooo. I love you guys. Shout out to you guys in the British Armed Forces. He was told by his civvy boss he should join up for some man-management training so, as opposed to choosing a trade, he went RD because he wasn't seeking to cut out a career in the Army but thirty years later he was a Major (OC TRG BTN & DEPOT REME). They were based in Arborfield. I worked in SEE and my mother was the Chief Clerk of 45 SQN RCT - before they all amalgamated into the RLC or the 'Really Large Corps'!
