Hi Ryan, the distances vary. But your 2km run time does pass the test required. Keep chipping away at it but yes that would be fine to start training. I recommend mixing your runs up. Do some longer, easier runs to get used to the miles. And then some shorter, harder ones
@Ryan-ui9wl4 жыл бұрын

@@Ryan-ui9wl I think both tests are very achievable. Don't be too concerned about which may or may not be harder. The fitter you are, the easier both of those tests will be. @@lachlanchester8142 Absolutely. They will be trained Infantry soldiers with no difference to their male peers.

Harry Harry you said in combat so I mentioned combat medic, my dad was environmental health in the raf and still got shot at, MERT helicopter pilots had to go to the front line and get shot at, I assumed logistics because of the road warriors series on KZbin, the Sandhurst documentary on KZbin also mentioned that 90% of British soldiers in afghan have had to use their weapon system, so plenty of women have been in combat. On your point of my mum or sister etc, my dad went a couple of times I don’t see how it would’ve been different if my mum did 22 years and went twice, my dad could’ve also been taken hostage and beheaded so the gender is irrelevant if they’re both fit enough to be in the military. I also don’t work for the government, just thought I’d mention that women have already experienced the stresses and challenges of combat so I’m sure they’ll do alright in the infantry

Harry Harry even if we can’t agree on whether women should go to war, we’re desperate for anyone in the army these days which is probably why there’s plenty of women joining the infantry. I’m sure there’s plenty of generals that unofficially agree that they shouldn’t be allowed but with such a reduced army we’ll take anyone

Be as fit as possible, but don't overdo it and injure yourself. The course is progressive and if you meet the start standard you will get to where you need to be

How far should I be able to before training im currently at 4miles. Also any advice on facial hair csm said shaving isn't necessary but all videos I watch show clean shaven faces.
@mitchellc46264 жыл бұрын
Well during training they will help build your fitness, and you will need to shave, unless there is a medical reason telling you not to
@djrxp4 жыл бұрын
@@mitchellc4626 Correct. There are other reasons you may not be clean shaven but you will have to speak with you platoon staff once in training. Most people are clean shaven
@djrxp4 жыл бұрын
It is good that you are doing your own training prior to starting. Building up miles is good for endurance, and maybe try some shorter runs at a faster pace to build speed. But the course is progressive and the PT staff will develop you
