Civilization 6 Gameplay [Civ 6] Germany - City State Domination Strategy! Frederick Barbarossa is the new leader of Germany in civilization 6 and he gives heavy bonuses for attacking city states. When you play as Greece and you have Germany next to you they are going to rip all of the city-states near you and demolishing your unique Civ bonus. So as Greece it is in your best interest to get rid of Germany asap. I kinda like that dynamic in this game and how Civs are interacting with each other based on agendas and bonuses.

Shes had a hard on for frederick my whole game up until recently. Kinda sucks too. I want to invite england to recreate ww2 to prevent them from a science victory. But i guess its up to the good old USA and of all people saladin and qin shi huang to make up the allies lol. Funny tho... the only war between me and japan is religous lol. Wish theyd focus on russia... theyre getting unstoppable.

You don't really need cities on the coast, as long as they can reach the coast you can build a harbor.

Do you still get the Sailing inspiration if you settle away from the coast though? It'd still be a dubious tradeoff (swapping three turns of growth and production for half the price of a cheap technology), but I have a feeling you might need to be directly adjacent to the ocean to get the eureka moment.

That was very dumb, especially from someone who talks so much about civ. @Oisan allen In 3 turns you could pay for the science you gained to sailing in the food, production, and science generation that you lost in the meantime.... Plus you can always just settle a city on the coast later anyway.

Yeah, it's slightly confusing that they called the civ Germany, when it should really be HRE. Capital of the HRE moved around a lot during its existence, it was only until Prussia's dominance of the German states that Berlin became the capital.

At first I was like "why do you need Animal Husbandry for mushrooms" and then I realized that it was for the pigs you train to forage for them. Clever, Civ 6. I am deeply uncomfortable with Germany having synergy with going for high Fash. It makes sense, but still, the value of taking a ludicrous number of military policies is undeniable. Having military slots to spare ALSO allows for a more balanced Democracy, though. I would be curious to see about a Kaiser Wilhelm leader, or a cultural powerhouse in Ludwig II who gets culture or art slots from castles/walls.

dude i forgot about your vids sounds rude but im busy like the rest of the world. but i always found a calming sense to your videos something i can just watch and chill, cheers mate to the great videos please keep them up earned my sub and ive only subbed like 9 people so you earned it. also when i first got into paradox games, i played crusader kings 2 on my old laptop and it was a toaster so for 4 years i could get 1/2 through the game and it would crash so i was scared to by their other games. until now 2017 i got a great laptop and i was watching a couple videos on the other paradox games and i saw your Australia play through on HO4 as a communist LOL and i love ww2 games and strategy games and instantly bought it and got thrust into the most confusing 2 weeks of trying to learn the game and actually only learned the game by watching your videos and then adapting. so again sorry for the long explination but being deployed in japan kinda gives you a lot of time to think and watch videos. great work content is much appreciated for real :D

Just a tip for you Drew, if you don't want to worry about Religion, build Stonehenge, its like a religious district so you can kind of 'set it and forget it" faith wise for a long time. And you have lots of stone, which is what you need to build it.

You should seriously found another city to your left along the river where you can grab the Dyes, Tobacco, and Jade. That is an incredible spot. I'd grab it quick before England or Greece decides to. Probably directly after your monument would be good.

If you can work a sea tile then your city will be coastal so you could found your city right there you didn't need to move to be adjacent to it.

I doubt 2K/Firaxis factors game skill in at all, just the level of viewership. Besides its not all, just most, to varying degrees. I've seen MUCH worse gameplay on other channels, this one is about average. The only good play I've really seen is from Quill18 but that got a bit boring after he started space race concepts by the 1700's.

It is not 3, 6, and 9 for districts. You get one for pop one and one for every additional pop, city district count "((Population-1)/3)+1"

fellas, a question: isn't it enough to just put a harbor district on the coast and keep the capital 1 or 2 tiles inland to be able to construct ships? i mean i have a feeling that the initial starting location could've been "coastal" with a bit of stretching involved. or am i completely wrong here?

Yes that would have been possible, although he would've not gotten the eurika boost for sailing because that requires a city on a coast.

You are correct, he could've stayed put and built a harbour, however since he wants to go naval very quickly and the harbour comes a bit later settling on the coast gives him earlier shipbuilding access. He can still build the habour later anyway.
