Pro tip: in the “money is what matters” you can just laser focus on developing technology, then discover all other civilizations as quickly as possible, the cheese all of them into giving you a good chunk of their gold in exchange for what’s essentially early game technologies, giving yourself a major upper hand as you have a lot more money to do stuff quick while they lack the necessary funds to match you.
@Tijuanabill Жыл бұрын
Yep, the NPC nations get a massive production bonus, but no trade bonus. Unless you can geographically dominate the map's production, it's just easier to use money and science to beat them.

Or focus on getting writing and use spies to steal massive chunks of gold from enemy capitals early on
@JayS89031Ай бұрын
I make spies and steal their gold, you can get 700-900 if you steal early. Another pro tip is right before you steal, buy whatever tech you can from them and then steal your money back. Stealing from Spain is the best, get navigation and a ton of gold 👌🏽.

My favorite memory will always be skipping through dialogue with Napoleon, only to then see the cultural advisor shoo him away, and watching him lose his balance and actually fall off the screen, while the advisor hogs up his space to remind you that war is a waste of time and that we should be focusing on improving our culture.

me and my dad Spent HOURS playing this game Whole Nights of this and sometimes entire runs would last somtimes a week or two because it was a big slog run. The thing this game did that no other civ did was having a hall of Glort that shows off everything you ever built, every win you ever had with each civ you've ever played with a sculpter of that civ made in a metal that defines how you played it and at what kind of victories you've gained in full 3d rendered graphics and lighting, and when events would happen like celebrations and parties that are thrown, you have the ability to watch whats going on in a hall, to see who came to the party to entertain your people, its verry intuitive and not even any other civ game not even 6 does these things.

I have been playing this game all this time, almost daily, since it came out. I play it when I'm listening to podcasts, or audio books. At one point my PS3 blew up with the disc inside it, so I had to buy another PS3, and another copy of the game. I just had to buy new controllers for the second one, because one doesn't hold a charge, and the other the stick leans upward, which is annoying. I love how every nation is balanced by the fact that they are all unbalanced. It makes replay interesting, due to the over powered nation bonuses.

It does expand the gameplay with new teqs and units but they're so late in the game that by the time you get them the game is pretty much over, at least in my playstyle. I dont mind the graphics downgrade since its undestandable but it does have a LOT of tiny UI/ gameplay shenanigans that annoyed the hell out of me as I %100 that too. I was so exited when I heard the vita had a sequel to the sequel lol and I dusted off my vita only to be even more disappointed since its worse than the mobile version imo. I didnt even finish a single game on the vita because everything took so long to load and move around, the game I %100 on 2 platforms I couldn't even get a single game done so i couldn't tell you whats new on that.
