I knew that with this new route using the Romans, a sub-five minute run was possible with favorable RNG, and that's exactly what I got here. The two main necessary elements were there: plenty of water, and no visit from any other civs. But what REALLY put this one over the top was the great people: got a scientist to start (which was convenient because I accidentally swapped the order of two technologies), got an explorer about two turns after switching to gold production, and then a humanitarian at the end to give that little extra boost to city growth. Got just a little too excited when I saw that I was closing in on the sub-5 and stopped my timer too early, so I re-recorded the run with a full timer for an easier viewing experience. I made a couple of menuing errors that cost me a handful of seconds, but short of trying to get a run with basically the exact same RNG and have every input be completely clean, I don't see this run getting beaten anytime soon, if ever.
