Thank you, Rabbi, for the wonderful books and podcasts you and your wife produce. I have bought and read 'Thou Shall Prosper' and listened to many of your podcasts. Three of the next four books on my reading list are books of yours. Your teaching has completely changed my perception of the Bible. I was raised in a devout Catholic family and I attended Catholic schools. Aside from general admonitions to 'do unto others' etc, I don't recall ever being taught about the practical wisdom hidden in the Bible, particularly in the Old Testament. Consequently, I spent my twenties and early thirties searching for meaning, financial advice, economic and political theory anywhere but the Bible. Now, I understand that it was there in the Bible all along. And while I wish I'd learnt that earlier, I'm grateful that I can start passing this knowledge down to my children while they are very young. Thank you for sharing your wisdom so generously.

Hello Rabbi Lapin. I appreciate your words here and always like hearing your perspective. Very good overall. However, I don't think the case for nuclear is so cut and dried. If you dig into it, there are significant examples of problems relating to the safety of nuclear energy. From Hanford - a super fund sight with cancer causing agents leaching into the environment, to the Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011, to the Chernobyl disaster in 1986, to the Three Mile Island accident /partial nuclear meltdown near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1979. I am not saying that humans should stop researching it or give up completely but I do think that there are potentially long lasting ill effects from not handling the waste correctly or unexpected events. It's also ends up being a danger to workers or nearby communities who, when there is a problem may get cancer, etc. When a war (or maybe earthquake?) crops up - it presents new potential problems like the plants in Ukraine now. Again, there is potential for good and limitless energy but the waste and handling concerns and accidents are a very real problem or potential problem. Maybe AI and robotics will be able to handle the clean up and deal with the unsafe / radioactivity in the new age that we will invariably find ourselves.

@56:26 - Great points here about "prohibiting questioning". It is not only propaganda but it is often murky enough theories that allows manipulation and suits power / control agendas. (via fear / intimidation)
