I just got mine two hours ago and it’s actually nicer in person than it is in the pictures. Very very well done. Flawless. Shave you sharp out of the box the Carbon fiber is flawless and the blade is just beautiful. Civivi really hit it out of the park with this one. If you like Civivi knifes you have to get this one.

I bought the plain version awhile back, brought it to the river the other day and man this cleans bluegies very well. Gutted a few pikes also. Great pocket knife

Been using mine for work,I have the green one with black blade love the new clip style and easy pocketability -the two things that I really like is that the handle scales are flush withe liners ,unlike the Elementum and others not sure why they dont make flush very frustrating cuts into the palm just annoying,secondly they finally took some liberties and changed the pocket clip it has some nice character kind of like what steel will does with their clips....two thumbs for this knife,I will be checking edge retention so far so good

I dont like the inlay looking scales that show the liners either. Makes knife look cheap to me.this knife looks great minus the hole in the blade. But i want one ..a great value for sure

Shadow boxed liners are an oddly polarizing design flourish. I guess I'm somewhat neutral on them, as sometimes they're very well done and properly contoured so they don't cause a hot spot while others come across as lazy execution and make for terrible ergos. On the civivi folders with shadow boxed liner that I've handled, I didn't have any issues with grip comfort and the color way of the liners & scales looked good. This discussion is an example of why I find civivi's lineup so great as you can likely find a knife that ticks every box on your list. Yeah it does mean that there's going to be overlap/redundancy in the lineup. But I think the pro of being able to appeal to damn near anyone who wants a knife outweighs that issue.

That carbon fiber looks legit. I’m glad it’s not the same one they use on their other “CF” budget knives. I wish they would have used the 154 cm they’ve been putting in their recent rereleases. The faux Damascus makes it look too busy. Let the CF and the lines of the knife be the star. Real Steel does the blade altering to a knife but they’ll attach the word “free” to it. Like the Phasma and Phasma Free.

I like that Civivi replaced the cutout with the fuller on the Dogma. Perhaps it should have been renamed, but the look is "cleaner" to me. I hope Civivi does the same thing to Ortis - and offer it with G10 scales as an option.

something that i wish was touched on for a rookie like me is how much better is the damascus steel than the 9cr18mov in edge retention, corrosion resistance etc etc. i'm trying to decide on this one or the base model, that would help a ton! thanks for your awesome review

Excellent review, Wayne! I just got a "Standard" version, and the flippertab is EXTREMELY difficult to deploy. Wil it "break in", or would a Fluid Film spot of oil resolve it? Thank you sir!

Hmmmm my detent wasn’t super stiff out of box. Stiff but not too stiff. I’d definitely try some lube and just keep flipping it. Hopefully it will break in.

Awesome video mate. I'd love to get my hands on one of these but the website shows that they're sold out. I'm getting married in 5 weeks and this would be the perfect knife (in my opinion) to carry on that day. Why even have those faux bolster lines/cut at all? Fools no one and visually flows smoother without it, in terms of design. Looks like a winner, especially with the nice soft case instead of a box that even the less expensive RFN/9CR version comes with. In “all black”, it’s one “Evil Gentleman’s carry”!

Thanks for the review. This looks great. When I initially saw the blade and the CF handle, I thought it would be much more expensive than $89. I was trying to save up for the Kizer Sheepdog or Dukes, but now I may have a third option. Right now just looking for something pretty and fun to flip. More of a toy than a life-saver. One question on this one, and you may have mentioned but I missed it. Does this run on bearings?
