Hello KZbin Friends, I am not letting the trolls get me down, and don't really care what they have to say. My mission is to address each and every one of them and call them out. I am hoping some of my subscribers will take to the keyboard and give this guy a good talking to. Time to flush out the youtube trolls and let them know they won't be tolerated any longer. Time to end the trolls now!!!! Don't bother with my channel if you are going to be an asshole, you will not be tolerated here!!

Brian, I love the videos and wish to continue watching them. I started auto shop class in 1988, followed by a great vo-tech program in high school and even though switched to aircraft maintenance, I’ve been turning wrenches on Jeeps ever since. It feels we’re cut from the same cloth. I don’t do much fab work, but I also don’t take shortcuts or half-ass anything. I own various Willys/Jeep projects from a pile of MB parts, a 1952 pickup, two 1952 M38A1s, a 1954 A1, and a 1982 CJ-7. I love them all and thoroughly enjoy your videos as not just educational, but also motivational. We all seem to need that push to go out and enjoy what we love. I’m sorry you catch so much grief for the work you do. There are some of us that truly appreciate it. Thank You!!! Roger Rothweiler

I have been working on Jeeps since I was 15 years old. I still have my original 1945 jeep that I got when I was 15. I am now 55. I have rebuilt it many times due to rolling it and blowing it up with the large 327 motor. I thought I knew everything about Jeeps but I have learned a lot watching your videos. I just got thru rebuilding it again for the 4th time. I wish I had your videos to watch when I was young as I had to learn the hard way as to what not to do. Great job on your videos

@@metalshaperJeep speaking as a fellow triads men I understand the things your showing done with such ease come from a lifetime of knowledge. I chose the masonry trade myself starting as a lowly cutman and now specializing in custom masonry stoves, Russian fireplaces. iv also tough a few apprentices but no true masters. it would be a shame to see your shop cut up do to a lack of a worthy apprentice. my tools consist of two bags one bag of carbide chisels my babies lol. and the scent of trowels, jointer feather, and wedge no big loss there. it's an absolute shame are society values sleeping Kitty videos more than something that could serve them the rest of there life. but anyone with half a brain that tries to shape metal knows you are the Metalshaper Rock star!

Hi Brian, I do very much enjoy your videos! Especially since it’s so obvious that you know what you’re talking about and thankfully, willing to share with us wanna be’s. I have two early CJ5’s I’m restoring, a 1960 that was my grandfather’s (full restoration) and a ‘57 that I bought as a parts rig, but soon found it was too nice and have decided to show her some love too. My grandfather’s was his snowplow rig up in the Adirondacks in upstate NY and so it saw a lot of salt and he had no garage, so it seldom got washed. Lotsa Swiss cheese that I’m trying to meticulously cut out and save the good so your tub rebuilds are especially helpful. My goal is to try to have gramp’s Willys fully restored and the ‘57 repowered (it came w/o motor) and made road worthy so that my 9 grandchildren can learn to drive on our mountain logging roads here in Montana. I’ll be turning 71 this year so I’ve got to start getting serious! I’m also getting them involved in the process when I can to hopefully pass on the love of Jeep’s to them. Anyway, I’ve gone on way too long, but just wanted to share my appreciation for your exceptional workmanship! I also would like to see about purchasing some of your fluids to keeps these girls happy. Thanks again, Alan

Hi Brian, I don't know why some guys feel the need to try to tear down another guys work. They must have some inferiority feeling or something. For anyone reading this I am the guy with the 64 CJ5 Sierra Blue body that Brian did for me last year. First of all I would like to say I think He did a spectacular job on it. He talked to me when I dropped it off and asked me what I was looking for. I told him I wanted to build a Jeep that looked very original. I did not want him to fill and block the body with 1000 grit paper and make it look like a new car. That is not how a brand new Jeep looked in 1964. Brian understood what I wanted and did a perfect job for me. I think the Jeep came out great. It is just what I wanted. I can't wait to see the progress on the 67 tub in the shop now. Keep posting as times allows Brian. I am sure there are bunch of us out here that really enjoy seeing your work. Try to just ignore the trolls. I have not found anyone on KZbin posting anything remotely close to the stuff you show on your channel. You have forgotten more about Jeeps than most of these guys will ever know. If you do end up going to a different format keep me in the loop. Happy New Year, Joe

Sorry to hear you're moving on, especially behind some guy who can obviously talk the talk but can't walk the walk. If he is as good as he claims he would know that there are many ways to get a job done and what you do to accomplish the task is different than his way doesn't make your way wrong, What he is indicating with his caustic attitude that he has a pretty narrow scope of vision and is pretty self involved. He should probably run for congress lol. You and your family have a Happy New Year!

I want you to keep on posting your vids. While I can’t always watch everything I want, I do follow whenever I can. There’s through-surfers who watch these I’m sure. The nuggets you share within the content of the vids is invaluable stuff. Who’s going to know these things? Historical context, 75-year-old procedures... your channel is like a reference shelf in a museum with an instructor-curator holding class. Then there’s things you show being done on machines I don’t own. I’ll probably never own? Life is only so long. But I’ve learned a lot watching. And you’ve influenced and improved my hammer skills a great deal! Developing a skill to a superior level is hard without instruction and guidance. Hand-making in “my” world isn’t a 40-hour a week apprenticeship happening- especially at 54- watching you create with commentary has shortened or eliminated the learning curve for things I do both for hobby and for pay. I don’t know why you don’t have tens of thousands of views...? While not every video is “right down my alley” they all are interesting and teach me things I don’t know. With world class skills. I certainly hope to continue enjoying and experiencing the privilege of learning from you, I do want to continue watching your excellent productions.

I've watched all your videos and you display such an enormous range of skills/talents I can only surmise that some feel the need to criticize to bolster their own ego. For the record your channel has been incredibly helpful, thanks.
