I once spent, if I recall correctly, 3 full hours trying to farm for a tactical shotgun because there was only a single hallway in the entirety of the dungeon which had appropriate background walls for tactical skeletons to spawn.

CJ I have a challenge for you Sickle only So in pre hard mode you can only use the sickle from the merchant But in hard mode you can use things like the ice sickle and death sickle I tried but couldn’t get past skeletron so if you accept good luck

For some reason, there are a couple of OP pre-mech weapons (Onyx blaster, spirit flame and flairon come to mind) that shred down plantera & golem and even deal decent damage to Cultist and Moon Lord

Dunno if I'd count flairon there, because even though you can technically beat Duke pre-mech, the difficulty/health isn't scaled for that part of the game. The Empress of Light has an identical defense stat and only about 25% more health. Plantera has _half_ of Duke's health and less than 3/4 of the defense, with much easier attacks to dodge. And even though their defense stats change in the second phase of each fight, Empress's defense is 1.5x Duke's, while Duke's is 4x Plantera's. Yeah, you can fight it, but IMO that's like saying something along the lines of "Wall of Flesh drops some great items even though you can fight it before the Eye of Cthulhu!". Of course, you can, but why?

You can use the shimmer to get more potion just throw them in then use the alchemy table to craft the potions which as a 33% chance on not consume ingredients, then repeat the proccess
