I once spent, if I recall correctly, 3 full hours trying to farm for a tactical shotgun because there was only a single hallway in the entirety of the dungeon which had appropriate background walls for tactical skeletons to spawn.

I usually had the exact opposite scenario. Out of probably 6 or so worlds, I never was able to find more than a dozen total diabolists. (Trying to find them naturally, I didn’t change the dungeon layout tbf)

If you aren't using it as a word, then refusing to use it because an entirely different use is not okay is rather ridiculous, and demonstrates a lack of the mature ability to seperate things appropriately. Mature individuals can tell the difference between an offensive word used offensively, and something that sounds similar but isn't a word at all, instead a nickname for an entirely fictional enemy and is not at all offensive.

For some reason, there are a couple of OP pre-mech weapons (Onyx blaster, spirit flame and flairon come to mind) that shred down plantera & golem and even deal decent damage to Cultist and Moon Lord

Dunno if I'd count flairon there, because even though you can technically beat Duke pre-mech, the difficulty/health isn't scaled for that part of the game. The Empress of Light has an identical defense stat and only about 25% more health. Plantera has _half_ of Duke's health and less than 3/4 of the defense, with much easier attacks to dodge. And even though their defense stats change in the second phase of each fight, Empress's defense is 1.5x Duke's, while Duke's is 4x Plantera's. Yeah, you can fight it, but IMO that's like saying something along the lines of "Wall of Flesh drops some great items even though you can fight it before the Eye of Cthulhu!". Of course, you can, but why?
