I grew up a few kilometers from Heidelberg. It's strange to see these places here on KZbin. Haven't been there for more than 20 years and still recognise every corner. Nice. Thank you guys!

@@cjexplores I didn't see a single change, looks exactly how I remember Heidelberg. Did you take a tour of the surroundings? Further up the Neckar there are some amazing locations. This is especially nice if you're into biking with all the hills forests winding roads. There is also a small hiking track on the oder side of the river, that's extremely beautiful especially in the evenings. Really miss this region ;-)

@@michaelutech4786 we did take a drive with friends out to the “Wine Street”. We visited vineyards and castles. It was so beautiful out there. I can see why the Germanic tribes defended this land so fiercely when the romans came 😉

I recently visited Heidelberg. I enjoyed exploring the city. It was a lot of walking. I would like to return for a more leisurely visit someday.

You missed the older Bergbahn that takes you to the top of the Königstuhl. The wooden cars have so much more character than the lower mountain high-tech cars.

Yes we knew about the higher car!! But we just didn’t have the time to do everything we wanted as well as the top of the mountain! 😅
