Glad to listen to the honourable Chief Justice of India. It is imperative that our judiciary needs to revamp itself to meet the new challenges and deliver justice to the people, particularly to the common man. We should not forget the fact that there are so many people arrested and put behind bars awaiting trial. In some cases, even trial hasn't started. But, they don't even get bail. Is it justifiable that one should incarcerate in jail for years without trial and such people don't even get bail. By the time trial is completed, the person accused of should have completed ten years or more. If a man is found guilty, he should be convicted within a reasonable time. But, can a citizen be arrested based on mere suspicion and fabricated evidence and put behind bars for years? How do we deal with cases where persons are arrested for their political views? Can a police officer arrest a person and put him behind bars without proper investigation? What would happen to him, if he is found to be innocent after ten years or so? His life would be completely ruined. What about his family - the social consequences and the hardship with which they have to put up for years? It is gratifying to know that the present Chief Justice is seized of such matters.

Fees of advocates should not be left with them. MRP ! Accountability of judges if they deliver judgments which are reversed by higher courts. As we in administerial system. Adjournaments should be restricted for judges, both parties etc.

Interpretations by advocates are hinderances for merit of cases. For one Cinstitution book, thousand of books on inerpretations can be seen in advocates chamber and still there us no end. No judgments on merits but on technical failures by police . What is fault of affected parties. Stays should not be ex party and must be heard to stay or vacate. Bith Advocates never remain interested to decide about stays and there is some understanding between them. is it not injustice to affected party and further ask fees for it also.

A Adani owned TV channel - a Godi media has interviewed the serving Chief Justice of Supreme Court on public television. This is perhaps without any precedent and a generally bad practice because the CJI must stay isolated. This is ominous. This is only a manner to get cozy with the gentleman, to get access, to use it, when he is on a drive on various matters like Electoral Bonds, CAA, ED etc. A helpless BJP has found that means and may the CJI not get taken in on it.

If CJI proclaim of whatever he is then, 1.why did the SC suspended the judgement issued by the Chennai HC against the TN minister Ponmudi. Won't the public will lose faith in the highest judiciary body with such decisions. Especially a decision like this at the time of election will only favour the accused and his party. Its like giving them a clean chit indirectly at least temporarily. 2. Even in his decision on electoral bonds, I see it gave a bad portrayal of the ruling party as if they bent the law and are the only beneficiaries. The govt. wanted to bring some accountability in donations done to the political parties and set in a process. If there flaws in the said process then SC could have given the govt. a guidance to correct, rather than coming heavily on it. Though at the outset listening to his speeches he looks honest and simple, his decisions to me seem to carry a vested interest.
