Besides it being a purely personal puja and not a public puja it is highly unlikely that CJI would have invited videographers to take videos of the puja and the team must have come with the photojeevi Modi. If no publicity was intended then no one would have posted the video on social media, certainly not CJI.

The place, our Maharashtran CJI’s residence, the occasion Ganapati Pooja which is a very important religious festival in Maharashtra, the PM’s cap a reminder of the type of cap worn commonly in Maharashtra, the deliberate publicizing of it all. All this should be seen in the backdrop of the assembly elections due in Maharashtra. Ethics demanded that the CJI should not have put himself in this position. Surprising that he did not think about the impact on public perception.
