Open palm is an easier jump in point to increase the popularity. More likely to get pure bjj athletes in cjj with open palm only, while still seeing innovation against strikes.

why are single leg attacks so underused in grappling are they that dangerous to go for? everyone either shoots double or stalls wrestling
