What a mess Rangers seem to be in at the minute.
In todays video we are here to discuss what a mess we have made and why we keep hearing and seeing leaks given to papers and updates fed to papers instead of addressing the fans directly, i think its not good enough and the rangers fans should be treated with more respect and told what is happening, wether rangers know for sure where we are going to play or not an update on whats happening to quiet down and slow down rumours and speculation from running a muck would help and ease the fans rather than slipping stuff to papers to do the work for them. Remember when Martin Bain was running the club so professionally? when the club bought great players, sold them on for a big profit, halved the club debt and won league titles. How we could do with his skills these days. The club seems to be governed by rank amateurs. Ignoring the fans, picking petty fights with the SFA, With League Sponsors, and that is BEFORE we consider the piss poor job of running the team. Allowing valuable commodities like Morelos, Kent, even Borna and Lundstram leave for nothing. Any other company in the world where you bought an item ( my season ticket ) and ends up you do not get what you paid for , where you are then not getting information or updates about your purchase and there would be legal repercussions for that company , and the buyer would have every right in pursuing refunds … It’s my stand , it’s my row of seats they ripped out .. and not one word from Rangers , not one email yet I’ve had over 20 emails about buying new merchandise ! … Nothing short of embarrassing !

For the last while, everything about our club has screamed 'amateur' from the board room, lack of communication, lack of organisation, the farce that is mygers, the inability to have any clear lines of communication with the ticket office, the poor structure and maintanence of the clubs website, drama with kit deals, sponsors and kit manufacturers. It's one shambolic episode after another. It's almost as if it's the old pals act and nobody who works at the club is actually the least bit qualified to do their job. I feel as if we need a total clearout as the rot has well and truly set-in. We need people who know what they're doing to come in swinging the scythe and eradicate this culture of apathy surrounding the club. The hierarchy of the club simply does not befit a football team of the size, stature and standards of Rangers football club.

I think it's because there is a construction crane pitch-side continuing the work so from a safety and logistical point of view there is too much going on inside the ground for the stadium to be usable regulation wise

If the crane is not the problem, then it’s simple ask all the season ticket holders if they would be prepared to miss one game each and rehouse where necessary. This would take you up to Nov 9th. Paper tickets could be sent out to the supporters that are being rehoused and the supporters who have agreed to this scheme could be notified in plenty of time.The only other problem would be the European games. Surely this must be considered as a 3rd option and the cost savings would be enormous.

As a supporter for more than 60 years and a season ticket holder for more than 30, I feel that the way supporters have been treated over the last few years has been disgraceful. When we have complained, we have been ignored and the overriding feeling I get is that if you don’t like it, there is a waiting list ready to take your seat. Any other industry we would tell them where to stick it but when it’s in your blood it’s a difficult thing to do. This situation is entirely typical now unfortunately to the way they view the support.

When you talk of lacking the steel. Lets be honest the work being done here is small potatoes. As far as I'm aware its work on one stand to improve disabled access & additional 600 seats. The steel required for a project this size should have be ordered as required. I can grasp a large project having issues with procurement I just don't think this can be classed as that.

Yes, delays in material delivery are commonplace and just-in-time delivery is pretty normal. However, Risk Management is a critical element of project planning. One easily identifiable risk, right at the start of a project, is delay. The Rangers team planning this should have identified that risk, and put some kind of mitigation in place i.e. spoke to a Hampden or Murrayfield about this LONG before they have done (or at least what we can see in public). This doesn't show the club's operations in a great light. Very poor.

We went through the same thing, more or less, in the 2017-2018 season at Hearts, Craig. We never got back to Tynecastle Park until December. We were playing at Murrayfield until then. The main difference? Our board kept us informed every step of the way, despite the deserved flak they were getting from supporters. That seems to be the main difference between our scenarios, your board has very poor communication skills in regards to speaking with fans, (ironically the very folk who are paying their wages). As for your rebuild, the first part has gone really well, a few of the 'old guns' have been moved on and big Phil has brought in a lot of very talented youngsters. Get the next part right in regards to bringing in your new experienced players and you'll be golden.

CJ, we’re not being told, because the club doesn’t know what’s happening yet. To use Hampden we need to pay to relay the pitch (after pink concert) and they can’t guarantee it’ll be ready to play on in time for our first ‘home’ game, and we’ve only been offered Murrayfield for the month of August (because of another concert in Sept). Add to that the fact we’re now looking at Ibrox not being available until early October. They are fkd and don’t have an answer to the problem.

Sadly since he left we have been kept in the dark over EVERYTHING. Re the stadium, I get delays etc and their reluctance to say "we will be playing at Ibrox by the XX date, in case of more delays but they could say 'provided there are no more delays we hope to be playing at Ibrox by the XX'. Now this is a genuine question; what is to stop us using Ibrox with the 3 other stands open? Yeah sure, those of us who sit in the Copland stand will be pissed off at missing games but I would much rather we play our games at our home than playing at hamdump or on a rugby pitch.

I have a very close source to John Bennet and have been a guest in the directors box. The story’s in the papers is false. If we are going to start believing what is published in the papers then it’s a sad day. The chairman is under incredible pressure. I agree the club haven’t cone out and addressed the matters in hand well but we have to believe the right people are in the right roles. We have been let down by many chairman and have had a lot of men only interested in taking what they can instead of giving back many other chairman would of hired cowboys in to patch jobs to take the pressure of but our chairman has stepped into a role to support the club until the ceo role has been filled. We have to stay strong as fans behind the club and not get carried away with pish been spoken in the papers.

Certain building projects don’t order the materials in advance - UNLESS - the cost of delaying the end date outweighs the cost of pre-ordering and storing the materials. In the case of this project, with multi million pound events relying upon the deadline being met, then you absolutely should pre-order, even at some additional expense, and not commit the project beyond the backout point until you are as certain as you can be that you won’t over run. People saying ‘it’s just the way it is’ - either run crap projects or to be fair, maybe work in industries where the cost of over-running isn’t as expensive. It’s not like Edmiston House, or even the Smith Statue, the stadium had a hard window to work in….

Great video CJ. I need to just put one thing to bed, as I work on major projects in construction, regarding the material delivery and it being commonplace. Whilst this is correct and subject to factors out with most companies control ie shipping and global demand etc the simple fact is that for time critical sporting events with very short windows to deliver, you simply do not start them without that certainty. This is very basic project management, and the fact we have started this work without assurance that it can be done on time is outrageous and it is not the norm. I don’t know how critical it was that the works were down this summer, but there should have been a hold point before starting and if everything was not certain to be here then it gets postponed for next season. For the amount of steel we are talking about the storage costs would have been fairly minimal in the whole scheme of things. I’m afraid it does come down to our club, the Client. They cannot blame the construction company, as we need to be all over it and making the correct informed decisions. So frustrating!

Could the board do better, of course they can. But we all forget that Rangers is a business as much as its a football club. There may not be a deal in place to play somewhere yet so there is nothing to tell us to update us on. They are likely keeping negotiations ongoing with the SFA and the SRU. You wouldn't expect you're bank to release a statement to say that they are negotiating a deal for new branches. They release the information when it is confirmed.

As a Celtic fan I would have to say that the Rangers accounts at the end of the 2024/25 season are going to be a deficit shocker.- especially if Europe is a disaster. Rangers are about to lose MOST profit income from games as they pay for ground rent of borrowed stadium, they'll lose pie sales, etc. This really could be a nail in the coffin of trying to catch us. Unless Rangers lay on free coaches, then your board is forcing travelling expenses on ALL supporters.
