@Demondoink1 we did, and maybe the reason for that was because our board didn't build on 55 and back Gerrard with strong signings. Instead, he was given Sakala, Bacuna and Lundstram. My point is, that EL season had some strong teams in it e.g. Dortmund and Leipzig. Those wins showed just how strong we've been in Europe.

Right now we can’t be comfortable with either team because we have our own troubles. Tav, Goldson, lammers, Hagi, Davies, Cantwell, Dessers and wright are still here. They’re either unwanted or just not good enough and this can end up being a horror show if they’re not moved on in time. We aren’t where we want or need to be right now and the clock isn’t slowing down. The board need to give there heads a shake man.

The dread from fans is totally justified. Look at our opening 5 league games and tell me honestly how many points this squad are likely to pick up? I reckon we’ll do well to pick up 6 points, meaning we’ll have dropped 9. That will have us in the bottom half of the table. Then add to that us getting dumped out CL. I'd bet that you will have 12 points after the first 5 games. You will likely lose to celtic, but that isnt set in stone. The rest of the games you have guys on 5/10 times what your opponents are on so should beat them

After watching the Man U friendly, yes know it was a friendly but if the team who played are the team going forward I have the fear. The Board need to give Clement a war chest and give him a striker who can and will score and cb's who won't leak goals, it's like nobody at our club know what's needed to win games - score goals and don't leak more 🤦‍♂️

The reality is that if the board don't speculate to accumulate then we will not be playing champions league football this season. I would take TWO centre halves that can head a ball, i don't care if they can't hit 60 yard passes, as long as they can pass it to midfielders to then get the play going, that will do for me. We need as you say CJ "an out and out right winger" and we DESPERATELY need a STRIKER that can put the ball in the net. If the manager has identified such targets then the board need to find the money from somewhere and go get them because the current incumbents we have in those positions are just not good enough. We won't have Ibrox to put the fear of God into these opponents so it is CRUCIAL that the starting 11 have the qualities to see us through into the group stages. I fully agree with the other Bear who said that if we had signed a striker (Shankland?) in January then we likely would already be in the group stages. If the board fail to back the manager then they will, YET AGAIN, have failed us all. As to which team i would prefer to face, does the local pub team count? No? Well in that case, i will go on your analysis CJ and say Dynamo

Hopefully after Phils big preseason, the lack of conditioning has been changed, as he blamed the previous manager for that. Hopefully with that new ultra fit and ready team with Phils big preseason we are ready and hammer whoever we face.
