I might be late to the party, but I love the audio changes that have been made for these CJ install videos. They needed some updating and this is perfect. Great videos and awesome information.

Does anyone else's rear endlinks rattle while driving? The spacers seem slightly too big for the bolts on these Whiteline endlinks.

Ive seen another video where you guys separate the rack n pinion from the subframe in order to get the sway bar out… so do i need to do it or no?

Do these come in raw metal/gray or can you get them painted white...?

I'm really curious which sway bars are the best: Eibach, Steeda, or Whiteline. Does anyone have any input?

How did you tighten top side of end links? My thread bolts just spin, so can't tighten nut.
@thebigdumbdog54674 жыл бұрын
There should be a hex hole for a Allen key to be fit into it and you can use a wrench to tighten it down.

Crazy the amount of rusted metal on that crossbrace and subframe. Youd think Ford would of polycoated those parts in Por15 or something better. Even our 2008 ST225 isnt like that.

The nut spins with the bolt.... And, metal plates box in the nut/alan key

If you see his hand holding the lower part of the end link, he's torqueing the bolt against the strut mount so it won't spin when it's hit with the impact. When tight, you don't need the allen key for the first turn or two. Crank-It!

Coming from personal experience, putting a stiffer front sway bar on a high torque front wheel drive car is the worst thing you can do for handling. The front axels need to be able to sway a bit for cornering, which is what the ST is built for. If, for some reason, you really want to turn an ST into a drag strip only only car (exactly what it wasn’t built for), then stiffen away!
@jessebudelman5 жыл бұрын
Is adding a stiffer rear bar okay?
@thenut12125 жыл бұрын
Jesse... hell yeah. I had one on my Mazaspeed 3. Stiffening up the rear allows the rear end to kick out a bit around turns, and because it’s front wheel drive, a quick lift off the throttle stops the slide immediately. Hit the gas again and it makes cornering even faster and more fun.
@jessebudelman5 жыл бұрын
Good to know. Gonna be working on suspension and chassis bracing here in the next couple of weeks on my ST
@smueller122443 жыл бұрын
@@thenut1212 this is not correct. If you lift off the throttle, you can actually make oversteer worse in a FWD car. The lift itself shifts weight forward which lightens the rear which makes it slide even more...

I've been hearing this a lot, plus Steeda's sway bars look to be more solid and beefy.
