I’m interested in seeing how this is gonna cone out especially when the coral starts growing under your lights. I have the Helio controller and I think it’s an excellent controller.

Hi Mr. CJ my name is tyrone and I have your Ocean Revive lights on my 75 gallon meets reef tank. Just wondering if you may could help me with the set up and schedule of the lighting when you had them on your tank currently I’m doing all blue from 6 AM to 3 PM every day Tank is healthy just wondering what advice you would have
@CJSAQUARIUMS Жыл бұрын
If tank healthy no need change a thing. I ran lights 12 hrs a day 6 hrs with whites rest all blue. But if you decide to lengthen the photo period it will change other things like consumption and nutients
@kalebtaylor2504 Жыл бұрын

Love the build but remember to assume all new fish have illness. I think it might be best to treat with copper
@lcj2046 Жыл бұрын
You should also add some coralline algae to the tank as well. When you see it growing it indicates that your tank is maturing for corals
@CJSAQUARIUMS Жыл бұрын
it will come in on the live rock rubble and any coral frags or CUC I add. Life finds a way.. but honestly I’m not a huge fan or coralline slags I’ll use other indicators or tank maturity like sponge growth and crustaceans on the rock 👌🏾

Trying to work with Bio diversity has been my goal also with my new build! Let’s hope it works! If nothing else it’s helped give me something to do as my budget allows 😂

man love your water change station. imo i think you would of been able to fight off that ammonia by dosing more bacteria. my only thing about doing a water change so soon is that your going to be removing some of that bacteria as well. anyways i know youll get it under control. ill be looking forward to more videos!
@CJSAQUARIUMS Жыл бұрын
Definitely hoped all the bacteria I added would process it but I had in excess of 5/6ppm ammonia I really overdid it… would have taken another month to process. Tank was already ready before the overdose so just reset it and added fish 👌🏾

Another great video CJ! We were also out of the hobby for a few years as we moved across the country. Getting a new tank together now. Really interested in what you think of the Aqua Forest salt. We normally use Fritz but I like a lot of Aqua Forest's products, so might be time for a change!
@CJSAQUARIUMS Жыл бұрын
I’ll always document my builds fully I would suggest waiting to see my final results before making your decision we have awhile to go 💯
@charlesalmand2986 Жыл бұрын
@@CJSAQUARIUMS oh, don't worry, we just got the tank and we still have some supplies to get before we are ready to start the cycle even. It will be a couple months before we are ready to begin. Going to take our time with this one.
@billydanzz Жыл бұрын
I'll say this just because it took me 3 attempts to get it right. On the 3rd tank start-up attempt, I decided to check Nitrate and Phosphate levels. Both were ZERO. The problem??? I ran every type of filtration/nutrient export equipment & media from the start. As a result, corals wouldn't grow....coralline algae wouldn't grow....didn't even have the "ugly stages"...there was absolutely nothing for anything to feed off of. I decided to dose phosphate and nitrates until the levels were within recommended ranges and the tank was on track ever since getting those parameters within range. To think of all the $$ and corals lost because I followed the "low nutrients" theme that was recommended 7+ years ago.
@CJSAQUARIUMS Жыл бұрын
Definitely not aiming for low nutrients doing the exact opposite. I want high import of nutrients. How I export and process them is the question right now. Will the salt be a major factor in that or will I need to activate all my filtration to handle it. We will see when tank is fully stocked as I plan to overstock it with 16-19 fish and loads of coral. Stay tuned 💯
