►About the Game -
The Chaput's Baby is a first person horror game where you play as Samantha, a young woman who is hired by the Chaput family to look after their baby, but things starts to go off inside the house. You receive a call from someone asking for you help to seal the evil that haunts this small neighborhood.
The Chaput's church was a well know place by the neighbors. Year gave way to year and the small church now is only the place where the Chaput family lives. Still, something foul is happening there. Samantha is only the babysitter, but with a help from a anonymous person on the phone she might be the one who can put an end to this!
As a babysitter you must take care of Henry, do your chores from the list

KZbin algorithms, I suspect. I've been watching John Wolfe for years, then Gab Smolders as well. I've had recommendations for many channels that play the same games but are not at all similar to those two, but I never got recommended CJUGames. I found Chris by searching for a game where he was one of the few creators who played it. I'm so glad he never gave up despite the lack of recognition or the loss of his first channel, and I bet it's because he's had a very strong and loyal base of viewers.

Very fun way of introducing the house layout to the player before releasing the threat. I really liked this game. It didn't feel that rough around the edges to me, at least not compared to other indie games of a similar size.

Was anyone else distressed by leaving the soup unattended for so long?? Lol. What a game! So much effort to scene-set by the maker, its clear this was a passion project, in spite of the fluidity and grammatical errors. What a great time!

Fun game and awesome for a solo dev, but the true horror is how that soup is going to turn out with that recipe. Noodles before onions or meat, microwaved meat. It's like I'm watching one of those rage bait recipes from tiktok.

Moral: Never babysit without a background check of the family, tactical flashlight, weapon, shovel, and salt & pepper shakers. 😶 This was an awesome first game for a solo dev, imo. The mix of art styles was interesting. The monster house was an undeniably creative twist. Easter eggs are always fun, although they may have been a bit overused. And, thank heaven, NO mannequins! 😅 As Chris said, this needed more polish. Better translations. Better transitions. Better continuity (e.g., Samantha was told at least twice to burn Henry's body and once to bury it, if I remember correctly). All-in-all, though, it was well worth the watch.

12 minutes in and the plot reminds me of The Boy. But the fact that the doll is a clown makes it worse. Considering I have an irrational fear of them lol. Thank you for playing and posting today! The game is rough, and nuts, but I love it! It has a sort of campy charm that deserves more attention. I'm not sure if a polished version of this game would be better or not. The jankiness is part of the charm

There is a real haunted doll named Harold that is said to be the oldest haunted doll to date. It's owners have died from mysterious circumstance. I think that is where the developer had the idea for the Henry doll in this game. There is a book on Harold written by Anthony Quinata

41:30 - 42:00 --- Well, it's their special place, LOL. And I guess that part with Jill Valentine alludes to her being "dead" after "Lost in Nightmares" and Chris visited her grave. For a game that's developed by 1 man, this isn't bad at all. I had a small bit of confusion towards the latter though. (The dying woman told your character to "burn" the body... but as you rush towards the graveyard while being chased, the objective on the top right says "bury" the body. I wasn't certain at first, if you need to excavate in order to bury the body or just burn it, especially since you're already holding the remains of the child. It was only after the ending was reached that I realized that it must've been a typo in the dialogue.) Aside from that, I've enjoyed it.
