"Hatch" is a single-player, first-person horror game. The player is unarmed and hiding while trying to reach his goal.
The protagonist wakes up in the morning and finds a hatch in the middle of his room. Running from intruders, the protagonist is forced to make a choice.
Japanese and English are supported.

The most surprising element was how realistic the feeling was while watching this game. Like the sound of the footsteps sounded very much like a real barefoot person. Or the slowly opening a door and peeking outside first before you exit a room like a real person would do. Yes the enemy was a bit goofy (and creepy at the same time) but at some point I could see myself in that huge house tiptoeing barefoot from room to room, tilting my head at doorways while holding my breath, looking for the intruder. Not to mention the music when she starts chasing you and you frantically try to hide on time! Very intense. Chris thank you for yet another fun evening!

You know I once tried to prototype something similar to this but I dropped it due to the fact I found the pursuer who was a fairly normal looking person might not be ideal for tense chases. After seeing this however, I'm thinking of going back to it.

Despite the goofiness of the models, nearly every jumpscare capture got me. I have to say that was actually rather freaky. Unsettling is a good choice of word to describe this. Imagine how scary a game the dev could make if they tried to without the deliberate silliness.

This was amazingly entertaining, oh my god. I laughed so many times, and i can't believe this goofy game managed to jumpscare me 3 times. It really did have it's unsettling moments and Chris' frequent moments of panic were really funny and i felt stressed for him playing lol Great video, Chris!

That was the quietest juicer I've ever heard. Such an odd and funny game. Still want to know what was going on, especially the other two characters (girl with long hair, and the giant man-baby). There was this movie short that is similar to this. There is this weird 'cursed' box thing, but you can't throw it away, it has to be given to someone. You can't just dump it at their house either.
