I still can't believe how Chris' Channel doesn't have seven figure sub counts already. This is such high quality content and witty comment and my absolute favourite channel on youtube. The audio mixing is great (!!! so few channels get this right!), the brightness for dark indie games is always on spot and the intros / outros are simply delightful. The thumbnails are that recognizable that I catch myself clicking on every youtube video with a blue frame without checking the uploader first - and that without silly arrows or weird photoshopped situations that don't even happen in the game. Also the first channel on my list that "fixed" the thumbnail when the rounded corners returned from the 90s. I also wanted to point out that the amount of commentary is just perfect. There are so many people that just don't talk except for "oooh scary!" and so many other people who talk THAT MUCH that they destroy every atmosphere the games try to create. Many use videos as personal vlogs and tag it "gameplay"... Plus, there's always the link to the game itself in the description as well as links to the "correct" playlist. It's just perfect! And the facecam highlight-compilation is an excellent way of doing a video with facecam for horror (and other) games. Especially when the ocean bestows its grace upon us and sends us its shiniest knight in red shell like it did recently. I'll stop rambling now. Sir Lobster; I love your content. Thank you for doing this and sharing it with the world.

The ending felt just a little unsatisfying to me - felt a bit like suddenly pulling out a new power/move/idk when there was no indication you would be stuck in a loop back to Fancyland like that - but the rest of the game was quite tense, all the moreso when the Manifestation popped up! But hey, it's always enjoyable seeing a new video from you, CJU.

There was a small hint: when the main character gets out of his car at the end of the game, thinking he will go back into his apartment building, you can see the same cracks on the floor of the parking lot as the ones in Fancy Land.

The end makes no sense to me... Would make more sense if the monster was the manifestation of all twisted desires, which wants to "play" with you. That way, each floor could get a different monster. And in the end there would be a combined abomination.

Pound shop Silent Hill, but I really liked it. From the migraine inducing colour scheme, to the mall/amusement park Silent Hill throwbacks, and the monster being a manifestaton of guilt and pain,..it was definately an SH2 inspired game,..but,..the main characters voice actor was actually really good, I think... he brought a no face, stick figure character to life and gave him a personality,..a quite likeable one actually. A decent game, made better than average by Chris's commentary. Thanks for the entertainment Chris. x

I liked this one, like the style, good voice acting, good story, I know that story all too well, if you live in America or not you know about the Elites, celebrities, having well, child "Rings", underground, all over the world, that's what this whole story reminded me of, the monster was the suffering, and i wish it could manifest in real life towards the evil Elites, celebs. Sorry to sound so dark, but thankfully we have you, Chris!!🥰 you can make anything scary or dark funny and great!! Much love!! 🥰🥰
@furrowingowl59069 ай бұрын
There's a perverse part of me that wants there to be a twist ending where it's revealed that the protagonist's father ran off with someone else, and the spooky theme park is just the child's attempt at rationalizing it. (...and I'm sure I'm not projecting my own issues as a child of the 1980's divorce boom. Why do you ask?)

@StompinPaul9 ай бұрын
I'm with you, from what I see the game is pretty good, but not great. I like the slower pace in principle, the slow build helps add to the tension. I think they did a good job making the monster creepy and limiting how much you see it to preserve that. But then for each thing they did right, it seemed like there was something that was wrong. The slow pace needed some distraction or variety in the beginning to keep interest up. The monster and the mystery surrounding the place are very disconnected, almost like one's and afterthought, though I can't tell exactly which it would be. The twist ending feels unearned, and more ticking off a horror trope checkbox than really fitting anything that's going on.

there was never any chance of exposing what happened, the story already told us things were covered up despite all the disappearances the police probably would arrest/kill you if you did try..... Overall- this was pretty mediocre. a lot of silly puzzles and fetch quests with an info dump on the last floor. silly reason for monster existing since it would be far more common if that was all it took. not scary the vast majority of the time. it didn't have a good focus, just a mashup of ideas which led to a okay experience at best.
