I thoroughly enjoyed this game! The colorful artwork, great enemy design, fun weaponry/boss fights, creepy sound design and, OMG, a couple of protagonists who _actually_ have their sh*t together!😂 I dig Tainted Pact Games, and I appreciate them even more for acknowledging CJU. And, thanks for the awesome voice acting, Chris, you really enhanced TPG's dialogue. Have a fab weekend!

I really loved how we were putting the counsellors one by one deliberately in position and facing their backs to the doors. It was a very uneventful few minutes but you know whats coming for their future and thats the terror of it. Did love the eldritch voice acting btw very nice

I think if I had any minor criticisms, it's that certain segments of the game where you were just walking characters around a lot putting them in place to die could feel a little bit overlong, and the final boss fight having a repeated phase also dragged the fight out a bit. It felt long enough doing it the one time, really. But minor criticisms about pacing a little aside, this was genuinely a banger.

Chris's EXCELLENT voice for "The Beholder" has shades of Matthew Yang King as Illidan Stormrage from Warcraft III (no shade to Liam O'Brien, but that is THE definitive Illidan voice for me). 1:13:25 The sleeping bag kill is of course directly taken from Friday the 13th: Part VII: The New Blood (1988) 1:14:01 I understood those references! Glad to see your icon in a horror game again!

Great thing from beyond voice, CJU! Another very Commodore 64-ish looking game, which I'm a fan of. I don't really dig slasher games/movies much, but the eldritch horror and style help here, and the music and atmosphere is great. Was nice seeing them reference your channel too! Good stuff! Having to reload the flame thrower so often felt odd, but that was likely for balancing it with the others I would guess. The ending was predictable, but still done well.

One of the things I love about this game: SMART HORROR PROTAGONISTS, FOR ONCE! How many times in horror movies and games does the protagonist do stupid things that make no sense or get them or other people killed? Having a smart and capable one is actually a very nice change.

Not only did this one really bring back memories of lost adventure companies like LucasArts with the top-notch graphics and creepy vibes, but it was just oozing with great slasher (and classic TV) references. Perhaps if Myst hadn't almost singlehandedly destroyed the genre back in the mid 1990s, this would be the norm for modern adventure. Instead, it stands out among the classic gems like a ruby in a coal field. This is one of those indie companies that never ceases to put out great products and each time they step up their game. Looking at the deterioration (and almost inevitable collapse) of the AAA gaming industry with the possible exception of Square-Enix, companies like Tainted Pact and Chilla's Art are bringing us the very same passion that legacy companies like Activision have long forgotten. I can't wait for Massacre at the Mirage to come out later this year. They put out demos around 6-7 months before the game (with the exception of Biocide, which seems to have been forgotten), so the game SHOULD drop around July or August.
