*Scary sounds* CJU turns off the flashlight and focuses. this level of survival instinct makes you so much fun to watch. You play logically and realistically and I absolutely love it. Any time I see a game that I think would be fun to watch the first search I make is "CJU _______" because i want to see YOU play it. Dont ever change, hands down my favorite channel on YT.

Bravo, devs! 👏Finally, an ending which makes up for the protagonist's seeming _complete_ lack of common sense.😂 It may even explain why he sounds so much older than 8. I guess where witches are concerned, nothing may be as it seems. Great spooky atmosphere and sound design--perfect Halloween fare, for sure. CJU's spot-on gameplay and commentary really enhanced the fun, as always.👍

I did not see that twist coming, but I was thinking that it's a surprisingly dark game for having an 8 year old as the main character : it makes more sense now that we have the full picture. Nice one!
@Solar_Axis2 жыл бұрын
SO MUCH makes sense with that ending: Like the baby clothes: Why have baby clothes if you have no baby? And why the kid wasn't shocked about the spellbooks and weird hanging carcasses: This is normal for him. Maybe he was waiting for his mom to go to that witchs' gathering since it was full moon, but she came home sooner than he expected. Maybe she set out the pumpkins for to decorate for HER kid, not other kids, since it sounds like he really likes Halloween. Maybe she's only chasing him down since she found him in the shed instead of asleep in bed, looking to disobey her house rules. She jumpscares him at the end because he was in the lab where he likely wasn't supposed to go.

As fun as Father’s Day was, a small part of me wishes you had played this, simply because it takes place on Hallowe’en. Really enjoyed this. It was fun, creepy (sounds, always the sounds), and a good jumpscare (that I was expecting, but it still got me!). I wasn’t expecting _that_ ending, but I did wonder when he said he felt linked to the place. I thought maybe he had lived there as a baby or something (something he wouldn’t recall directly, but might find subconsciously familiar).

I did think there would be more to the story, but not like this. I thought maybe the boy was one of the victims and relives his first visit to the house and has to figure out what happened to him or he's being influenced by her and therefore he knows where to find keys and has a map. So the ending did surprise me. Where there any clues during the game? Is that why she killed the children to somehow create her own child since she couldn't naturally have one? Nevertheless, nice game, enjoyed it :)

Ok so, I've got a theory about this game: the kid was definitely the witch's child but... He was dead all along! She had baby clothes from when he was alive and in Halloween (the game says the dead break the barrier of the worlds in this day) he comes out to play and he decided to pretend to be one of the children he's seen. Maybe that's why he's "disguised" as a skeleton. The rumours he knows about his mother might have been conveyed by the imprisoned children. Alternatively, she might have grown him with that technique he read about near the tongue monster. It might have to do with him waiting "16 weeks" for this day, although that's nowhere near the 9 months required to make a human. Then again it's magic, so who knows.

Ok that was an awesome ending! I had another ending in my head that I was sure was correct! I thought the boy was already dead, and he was a Ghost or possibly a Demon that is lamenting the fate of the kids, possibly because while evil, he operates by a code of honor, only tormenting the truly wicked. I so thought he was gonna reveal himself at the end and turn the tables on the witch so to speak. Possibly drag her down into hell. I really did like the ending they used though!

*Head desk* Ok so I randomly, and off handily had a thought of “what if the MC of this game is the witches kid”…just cause I thought that it would be an unlikely twist for this particular game. Turns out that I was correctly. However what really cinched it for me was when you walked by her in her rocking chair, she made absolutely no effort to cause any harm(no swiping, kicking, lunging, ect even though it would have been SUPER easy to do in such a tight space). I thought “we’ll even if he’s not hers maybe he’s the child of a fellow witch and he’s visiting or is special for some other reason” thinking that maybe there could’ve been another reason or ulterior motive as to why not to attack…but still kept coming back to my first thought of “well he could be her son”. Then the cave just lent more credence to that line of thinking because even if one would run out of words their body and noises wouldn’t be able to…there would have been trembling, whimpering, ect due to fear(which on reflection he showed very little of all things considered). Which again leads to the “he’s the witches son” and had full knowledge of a HUGE chunk of what was going on. In any case, great game! Very entertaining! Thanks CJU for playing this. :)
