Still my fovourite aircraft. I was at Canadair in the 1960s with the military on another project, while CL215s were actively being constructed on the shop floor. Today, many are still flying after a few improvements.

These planes and their crew are awesome. I think they must have a great power to weight ratio as the angles and climbs are amazing. Watched 5 of these in a formation fighting fires at Lacanau this summer. You can hear the power kick in when they pull up from the lake with full tanks.
