Started off being a lavro knockoff, we called them crack a craft back in the day. They did improve, and unfortunately lavro is gone. Lavro made a strong boat, mine is bomber.

Simply put the river depth dictates how deep your blade should be. If you have a heavy load digging deeper makes your boat respond faster by limiting cavitation. If you see whitewater you are wasting energy. There is also a faster more efficient way to turn a watercraft.
