Clackamas Co. commissioner stripped of liaison duties during meeting discussing vaccine passports

Raw video of Tuesday's Clackamas County board of commissioners meeting where commissioner Mark Shull was stripped of his liaison duties, meaning he cannot represent the board at public appearances or events.
The decision came after Shull doubled down on his comparison of vaccine passports to Jim Crow laws during the meeting, as the board discussed a ban on vaccine passports. Shull says Oregon's requirement that businesses check a person's vaccine status at the door before letting them take off their mask inside strips citizens of their civil liberties.

Shull has dealt with controversy in the past. Earlier this year, a constituent dug up several racist and Islamophobic posts on his Facebook page. The entire board called for him to resign, but he refused.

Mr. Shull, I saw your language and the Commission’s response is at least somewhat appropriate, if not just a slap on the hand. As you say, your request has nothing to do with race, therefore it is racist for you to even mention Jim Crow. It is qualitatively AND quantitatively wrong. Your history “lessons” are wrong. I don’t want to see an openly racist man in charge of those programs with my child in them, I grew up here and this open racism (including the flag waves with heavily armed people standing on our corners) brings hatred to our communities. You should have left when asked. Shame on you, please resign already..

EXACTLY! This smells of nazi practices in my opinion. They're saying that he doesn't have a right to bring up a point, unless they all agree with it beforehand...If he could come up with his draft resolution within a few months or weeks, and it takes 'the Queen' many months and dozens of eyes to get a point across, perhaps 'the Queen' should step down and let him take her place. This entire meeting and their conversation is pitiful, have you guys lost all your sense of decency? Do you remember that you are Americans? And just because you people *fear* that there may be a few people that would perceive something as a 'trigger' and might go off and use that as an excuse to go out and commit crimes, (like looting and burning buildings) says something not only about you not wanting to enforce the laws that ALL OF US are subject to, but also says something about the people in your City. Grow a spine, stand up and be an American, and don't hide behind the PC shield of fear of what stupid people may do or think. The wording that he shared with us on camera is NOT inflammatory, but your attitude and acts toward a fellow Commissioner could be considered, just that. Perhaps you're worried about not marching 'lock-step' with the current Admin., or with Bill Gates (or other 'investors' of the vaccines) and Dr. Fauci's push towards 'total compliance'. Where is the council's medical expert? Let us hear what the surgeon general of Oregon says about covid. Let's hear him or her answer some simple questions. Where is the common cold this year? Where are the numbers? I'm not confused, I want answers, facts to support this indefinite state of emergency. Do I care what these peoples' opinions are? Why would any of that be relevant to this meeting? Why would any of these peoples' personal opinions about covid be included in making or banning any [laws]?

What are you even on about? MMR vaccines are still a choice. Sure, public schools require it, but guess what? A. The entire county of Clackamas is not a school, so that's 100% a false equivalence here, B. Children aren't forced to go to public schools specifically, there are plenty of private schools, charter schools, or even homeschool programs. C. Schools still allow medical and religious exemptions from vaccine requirements, and for the religious exemption it is comically easy to get it. In fact, it's so comically easy to get exempted from it, that right before COVID there's been a huge surge in measles cases as fewer and fewer parents vaccinate their kids.
