For every police force there needs to be a volunteer committee that takes complaints, has access to body cam footage and internal documents when necessary and can make their findings easily accessible to the public. Because all justice departments are political and the police obviously can't police themselves. There should be no authority. Police should act under the authority of the citizens, for the citizens to defend the citizens. Not only are the NOT above the law but to be allowed to enforce it, they should be held to a higher standard than the ones they work for.

Are you serious? Did anyone say anything about against the blue. Come on. Look there are good people in all walks of life. Sorry if you have not known that. However the bad or corrupt people w power can destroy or kill people. I admire the hell out of good police officers. We have to have them. And they do things most of us couldn't. However I have seen the other side. My son was mistaken as a suspect when he was the victim of being jumped. Grown men pulled him from his feet from behind Jumped on him, beat his head against the payment, punched him, kneed him. Left him w blood in his eyes for months. They charged him w resisting arrest. No apologies. I had to do my own investigation w the school board. On school property. Students were threatened not to film. My son was expelled. I won two investigations at the school. A lot of people got fired. I fought the charges even got cursed out by public defender because I refused to back down. The case was dismissed. But they wanted me to have my son write a letter saying how he should have acted. I said no way. He will however write a crisis plan on ways situations like his could be handled. And he did. My son was humiliated. He has migraine, back pain etc. But he will never be the same. And those 5 officers who beat him. Well they went on to beat other teens. Even a gentle man on his phone in a apartment building in 2017 i believe. They are still on the streets. FBI is supposed to be investigating still. Until he have felt the absolute power that the bad cops have. You won't understand. But don't you dare say I am wrong for supporting a true journalist. Because that is what Dave is. We the are supposed to govern our state and have a role in our police departments. With out Dave we would know nothing about the misconduct. We have to have goof journalism or how we know anything? We need more Daves out there. For other investigations like scams, products, and so on. You can't find any shows that are on investigation accept True crime. That is a problem. If you really back the blue. You would support getting the misconduct out of our departments. Because they make great cops look bad and truly make their job hard.
