She said she wanted to focus more on writing and producing behind the camera. Which I love for her. She was my favorite character in the series, but slowly the other characters have grown so much character development that it’s nice to finally see Claire get to move on. It really takes a literally sense of this episode on moving forward. She’s choosing what she feels is better for her future and I respect, though she will be missed dearly. She’s such a great actor and literally always makes me cry. But seriously the stuff the older lady doctor told her in this episode was so sweet. “Your care so deeply, but it only continues to strengthen you.” Which was such a beautiful statement. Usually having deep feelings is seen as weakness but she made it her fuel. 💪🏼❤️

In fairness it wasn't anything to be ashamed of. First, he got busted with a drug that has little to no harm and is legal in several states. I do think that because he jumped bail, and whatever altercation he got into with the cops, it's going to be much more difficult to come back than he thinks.

Honestly i dont understand how people are still liking this show, first two seasons were great with s very good development of characters but at season 3 everything went wrong with Melendez death. How is it a good idea to get rid of one of the mentors that started as an arrogant character that everyone hated until one of the best characters of this show. Not only that, but that they didnt cry or mourn his death the rest of the characters, it was shawn, morgan, and Park mentor and they didnt even mention him one single time in this whole season, not even the chance to give him a worthy goodbye. Then with season 4 rushing the covid season in just two episodes and rushing every decision of the characters like the love interest between park and Morgan, the separation between Glassman and his wife, the relationship between lea and shaun and of course the last and most important the farewell of Claire. I mean what a waste of characters, Claire was one of the most important characters of this serie and by just telling her “there is something i want to ask you” is enough reason to tell her goodbye? Seriously i am asking isnanyone excited to watch season 5 ? Because im not, and im sorry if there is a lot of hate in this comment but it just hurts, it hurts to see how they turn a really good, dramatic show to this kind of shit that I dont recognize anymore

@@lisarice4402 Exactlyy!!! And Claire is a really nice person....I loved see her...so, this season finale is great/not great, touching, heartbreaking, happy/sad, good/bad. I imagine (for me that be the oficial version of TGD) Neil recovered of him injures and (with the version of Neil in witness proteccion) finds Claire in Guatemala. They stay there for a while or just stay there and appearing sometimes in San José....getting engaged, married and with their childrens....happy forever....

You know, I remember when Morgan was introduced, she first commented that at the end of the residency, the hospital was only going to keep two of them, and that that in part was why she was so competitive. At the end of last season, with Park going back to Arizona to be with his family, and Morgan becoming an internist, I definitely thought that it was going to end up being Shaun and Claire. But damn, this was a curveball, especially since with the end of Shaun's residency being near, I feel this show only has one or two natural seasons left. And with a wedding storyline, two is definitely stretching it.

The producers/writers did Antonia's character wrong. Claire was the only character who didn't have a successful relationship/onscreen Romance. They killed off her intended for no damn reason... Why, because she's a mixed black woman? Most viewers shipped Claire and Melendez more than the white couple... That's why Niel had to go...

Yeah.I agreed with you until the black woman part,bit of a reach I just think Claire never had a real romantic relationship or a lot of things never worked out for her like how she was finding the sample for a patient but when she FINALLY did,she had a lawsuit. Or when her mom come back but then later,her mom passed. I think it has to do with her personality of being able to be the strong loving character throughout the series but it would have been nice to see her with Melendez more.

I thought at the end of season 3 it was gonna be Park and Morgan not returning. Turns out it was gonna be Claire this time. Another major character like Melendez. Dr. Melendez dying was completely uncalled for last season. He was one of the major chatacters in the show. Why did they go that route? Im still confused. And the WAY he died was just ridiculous! They didn't even give him a proper send off coz there was also an earthquake that happened and everyone was busy. They should have shown the loss the first 2 episodes of season 4 at least but no. The never even mention him at all! He was their mentor! Season 4 has been a whirlwind.
