I agree with Crissy Rohdes, a heroes show without Sylar or Claire isn't much of a show. I mean the show started with the point of trying to save the cheerleader and Sylar was just an awesome villain.

+Matthughes97 I don't really agree with you on that, but I amactually really happy about the new series not being an exact continuation with the same characters. When shows have tried to do that they haven't been able to keep up the original momentum (for instance the fourth season of Arrested Development that was done by Netflix). Issac was my first favorite character (how crazy was it that at first his powers were "Super Future-painting Junkie Artist!"... Soooo crazy). & of course Hiro & Peter Petrelli. Glad Hiro is going to be back for some of the episodes. Just enjoying it so far really, bc honestly I'm glad to have the storyline back in any form and I think the quality so far has been excellent. Not disappointing to me at all. Actually the character who used to bore me in the beginning (not later in the original series, just the beginning) was Mohinder. I kept going "FIGURE IT OUT, NUMB NUTS!!!"

@anderson season 2 was cut short. It was supposed to be a longer season but yeah near the end of season 2 you will see the change in writing. Season 3 is where it got real bad.

@anderson The problem is they didn't put anything new after season 1. Season 1 is great because it has a great plot and an awesome villain. Season 2 is nothing but a copycat of season 1, and so are seasons 3 and 4. The other problem is that from season 2 onward, they relied too much on time-travel, making the plots too complex to follow. They had a chance to improve things with the sequel "Heroes Reborn", but they repeated the very same mistakes, and that's why the show wasn't renewed for further seasons. The writers' strike has nothing to do with the show being ruined, it's only due to bad writing.

GOT was rushed, did a disservice to one of its main characters, gave a stupid misogynist line to another, and had too much plot armour and not enough intelligent dialogue. But it still made narrative sense and was believable and satisfactory. This on the other hand devolved into nonsense and boredom. Far better a controversial ending than a boring one. Heroes should have ended after Season 2.

long before the marvel and dc series became a stampede of storylines...Heroes delivered pure dope. Season one seems so pitch perfect for it was created to be a complete storyline like the first three seasons of Supernatural. The following seasons were supposed to be of a different set of characters with cameos of characters from the first series once in awhile. The parent company realizing they had a hit on their hands...demanded the stretching of the saga of the first season one into the second, third and fourth. It kinda shows. I'll always remember so many moments from that show...you know who kicking homeboy to death in the elevator, what takes place by the fence when you know who was cornered by Claire's father and the Haitian, the slow reveal of the true nature of Nikiki's blackouts. The beginning of the Heroes saga will always hold a fav place in my heart.

Season 1 of this series was a total GEM! Everyone was new! Like most of these actors we had never heard of before. There was no telling where this show would go. Just a giant mystery and discovery through these characters. This show started off so very strong!
