I actually love all of them! But I really love the one that is angled and jagged down the side. Sooo pretty❤. Also I think if you put the sheets on the mold and kind of stretch the mold a little bit , it will put really pretty gaps for the back color to show through. Just a little stretch

Brush a thin layer of clear resin into the molds first, then put the foil down when it's almost set. Then pour the black while it's still tacky. the clear will seal in the foil better and give the piece more depth and a super glossy surface.

I actually have gold leaf sheets!! Now I just need resin, silicone molds, a respirator mask and I’m ready to go ha ha I was thinking-just scratch the gold leaf to create cracks but then you just told us not to scratch the mold. The more you know...

Love it. I just added gold to my wine glass holder that fits on top of a bottle. Tips on stopping cups sticking to the coasters would be appreciated and. Love the rubbed gold by the way but all very nice. Also was worried re using heat gun as mine blows it which looked like yours did too. Does that not create more bubbles?

Thanks so much Jo .... glad you live them x Tips for stopping mugs sticking to coasters would be to use a heat proof resin and leave them for around a week before using with hot mugs. The heat gun basically heats the resin and heat removes bubbles .. so even though its blowing it around the heat is stronger than the air if that makes sense xxx Heat guns are the best way to get rid of bubbles in smaller moulds like this x And a lighter x

@@ClairesCraftyCorner thanks Claire. Yes j used Craft Resin which you recommended a while ago and it says its heat resistance. Its months since I name them and the only thing that works temporarily is coating in oil. Thanks for answering.

@@JoHueybusiness ahhhhh yes ... I made coasters with Craft Resin and honestly did not have issues with my hot tea on them .... sorry yours were sticking xx oil is a good idea ... it might be worth in the future at some point giving them another top coat x maybe x
