“If touch could make them hear then touch me now” : Genius. Clairo is one of the most phenomenal lyricists/musicians/people in this generation. I cannot stress this enough, everything she puts out is pure quality and the fact that she makes like 200 songs and picks only 12 just shows how much of a hard worker and how passionate she is in her craft. Will be looking forward to future albums and also would be looking forward to see her band in action. Thank you Clairo for existing and providing us with these masterpieces

I could tell that she was on the verging of crying when she was talking about “Blouse” and being taken advantage of. I appreciate this song so much more now because I feel like people, especially women can relate to it. A lot of people can relate to wanting to do just about anything, even at the expense of your dignity, in order to get someone to really hear us or listen to us. It’s heartbreaking
@SkywalkerSam643 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you, this is a horrible grey world to live in. But times are supposed to change soon and, anyway, not all of your next re-incarnations have to be neccessarily made-through in _this_ solar-system! :) Keep your dignity; life is eternal, beyond physical existence. Otherwise you may end-up like that blond girl I saw in a restaurant today that sat there with a person of that kind that you can never name if you don't want ur comment deleted, and looked at me with a glimpse of despair when realizing, if she would have waited for eternity -- she would've met me alone...
@SkywalkerSam643 жыл бұрын
Girls who give away their dignity will never be alone, and thus READY, when a guy like me walks by. They will be "blocked" from meeting with me by one of those you can never name. Please learn from this lesson! 😉🙏🏻

This album to me feels like winter on a cabin far away from society, as you watch over a big lake full of beautiful greenery adornating the background. It's cold, raw, almost vulnerable, but it's accompanied by lyricism and instrumental so smooth and deep that it almost makes the whole thing worth it. It's almost like it's saying "Hey, life is hard, but it doesn't mean it's not worth it. Go live your life, breathe some fresh air, find your purpose, take in the beauty of nature, and relax"

i don't even listen to her music but i think i've become a fan because of this interview. clairo, you're more than a musician. i admire you as a person and an artist. i know this is just a snippet but that resilience is very evident even in this short video. it's admirable. i empathize with the desire of going into a long hibernation period. being an artist/creative is tough. you tend to burn yourself out because you just want to create or produce something "perfect" all the time; feeling like the cycle will never stop (just like the pandemic ); second-guessing the thing you've always dreamed of. those are my daily struggles. 16:31 really hit home. sometimes i feel like people just stopped liking my works (which is probably far from the truth). even though i shouldn't let that affect me, it often feels like they want none of me and they couldn't care less even if i take a break for 10 years. that part of the video that sounded like me talking to someone i trust and them telling me how mistaken i am. it pains me to see another great artist holding back tears. it's almost like a mirror. thank you for this video and i hope she feels better soon.

Something to add about the mindfulness of time required to travel. If you live in an urban area chances are by bike and ebike is going to be by far the fastest and moat consisitant way to get around for trips under 15 kms since you are not as impaced by car traffic or transit delays.
