I've had a buddy heater for about 12 years now. Never really liked it, but I'll use it til it dies. I don't bring a heater out deer hunting typically, but I do have a Coleman Catalytic propane heater than is super quiet and provides enough heat if I need it. This clam heater looks like a good buy if I ever need a new heater! Thanks for the review!

Yes, I've used Buddy for years also. This Clam really does seem more heavy duty to me. Time will tell.

I use a long bbq lighter on my buddy heaters instead of the loud button.

Clam does sell separate fans that can be mounted on the ceiling. Some have lights. That might be a more strategic use of fan power.
