"Honor and Might" is an original dwarven song in our Hammerdeep collection. We are continuing to develop our own Dwarven legend through multiple musical compositions. We hope you enjoy it:)

This was Moving, Emotional, and Forever on should such an important message should echo across the deeps and through every heart under the sky. We should be Mighty but never without Honor, and if we live by that code and seek to better the world, not just ourselves, then we will have to greatest legacy to pass onto our loved ones and all generations to come. As always, your music is truly Mighty and always makes my day! You are all so amazing and I hope 2024 is treating you well as I am excited for another year of music from you guys! Thanks for keeping the hearth of hope burning and helping me to keep my head held high!

According to Tolkien himself the Dwarven culture that he created which is the basis for most fantasy dwarves nowadays was basically a combination hybrid culture between Norse Warrior culture combined with Biblical Old Testament Israelites because the dwarves were always driven from their Homeland like the children of Israel were driven from Zion by the Babylonians and the Romans dwarves are often driven from their Homeland deep in the mountains also if you listen to the song Halls of hammer deep the first line the Craftsman makes Eternal Art and the last few lines this world was made by mighty hands a blessing rest upon Our Land

I really like this song, I think dwarves are rarely shown as in their full and prime. More often they're shown as a crumbling kingdom receding from former glory and might. This song shows how the dwarves are in their prime. A kingdom mighty, noble, and held together by their unwavering commitment to honor.
@raphaelsteyn65586 ай бұрын
I was reading something on Royal Road called One Moo'r Plow (mostly an ok story) which took a really interesting direction. Its set at a time when the dwarves are at the height of their power: they rule everything below ground, and everyone is terrified of so much as harming the hair on a dwarf's head for fear of being written into the book of grudges. There's a whole bit where a dwarf is killed and within the month an entire legion of dwarves appears out of the ground and walls off the entire region where the dwarf was killed (in a few hours), puts everyone to truthspell, and nobody is willing to do anything about it (despite the many powerful individuals in the vicinity) for fear of the dwarf war machine. And then the main character hears a rumor that the dwarves have delved to dark and deep, and we all know how that goes...

You guys really outdo yourselves. For a long time as a recent player of D&D, I've wanted to DM a game myself. Despite being told running a module is the best way to start, I knew I had to make my own setting. Inspired by the songs in your dwarven collections, I started the campaign some months back and its been going well. A very dwarven setting itself, I've shared some of these very songs with the players and they too have loved them. These are gems of the musical art, I absolutely love them. I occasionally have trouble sleeping as well, and many of these songs work very well at low volume as a sort of ASMR when I'm having a hard time sleeping and have helped me greatly in falling asleep easier when insomnia kicks in. So thank you, for the multiple ways your music has had a positive impact on my life. You guys are amazing. May the heart of the mountains guide Hammerdeep into legend. Rock and stone!

'The time has come' the king thought as the last strap was tigthened, his armor secured to his stout frame. The orcish hordes had gathered, and the other Holds had called. His honor commanded he answer the summons of the King of Hammerdeep. Beyond his granite halls, his host stood ammassed, waiting for their king. He took a deep breath into lungs worn with age, each inhale rustling his great, greying beard. He turned to his wife, his queen; the strength in his heart. Her eyes shined like rubies, filled with concern, and he nodded to assuage her. A soft smile played at her lips, despite the fear gripping her mind. In her arms, their youngest child squirmed restlessly, and at her side stood their other children. His eldest, a young Dwarf who's beard had only just reached his collarbone, held the king's warhammer in his hands. The armored Dwarf stepped forward, extending a hand. But he did not reach for the hammer. His hand fell on his son's shoulder, and the young Dwarf stiffened. He saw the worry on his body's face. More importantly, he spotted the understand deep in his eyes; an understanding his younger children could not yet understand. "Remember the words of our family, my son." The king said quietly. "I will not pass into the ancestor's halls today, but soon, the time will come. And when I fall, you must be ready to wear the crown." The prince slowly nodded, looking beyond his father's greying hair to the humble, golden crown upon his head. It held no jewels or gems, nor engraving or ornamentation. A simple, yellow thing, with it's points fashioned to resemble stalagmites. The Dwarves of this Hold held no ornamentation. Boic's lessons had not been forgot. "You must wear it..." The king continued, "With honor and might." his boy finished, cutting him off. The old Dwarf smiled, gently squeezing his son's shoulder. "That's my boy." He whispered. The young Prince stepped forward, hugging his father tightly, and soon joined by his mother and siblings. The king chuckled, hugging each in turn, and sharing a kiss with his diamond-willed queen. He walked on with them, stepping beyond the royal chambers. Above, the cavern stretched on endlessly, reaching up to the peak of the mountains. Below, the city thrummed. On each bridge and causeway, his hosts marched, all converging towards the gate. The royal family halted upon a balcony. His hold's army was stretched out before him, a shining sea of steel-clad dwarves, each holding axe and mace, halberd and shield. His son stepped forward, and with a nod, offered his hammer once more. This time, the king took it. "My kin!" He roared, his old voice echoing through the halls. "Hammerdeep calls! The orcs mass below the mountains, eager to break us once more! The time has come, my honored kin. Our debts must be repaid to the High King. The foul creatures seek to drown us in night and darkness... Never, says I!" Te host below him stomp their feet in response, and the king raises his hammer high. Beyond them, the great gate to the Hold, each half of the door thrice the size of a dragon's breat, begin to swing open at the gesture. Light shines from beyond the portal, filling the cavern and reflecting off the humble steel plate of the massed Dwarves b elow. "Sons of gold and iron, let this day fill your hearts with valor and virtue! We march to the aid of our king, my brothers!" A simple call from the Dwarves below greets the King's ears; the words each Dwarf of this hold, his hold, drowning out his own in a bellowing chorus so loud it shakes the stone halls around them. Four simple words that have formed the backbone of a culture, of a clan, of a nation. Four simple words that make the old dwarf's eyes water, and a smile rise to his time-worn lips. "With Honor and Might!"
