@Injection Molding Skills & More Hey neighbor! I'm in Greer. I just found your channel, this video has answered some questions I've had for awhile now. The parts I want to make are small but have a decent level of detail to them. Any openings in your no-doubt loaded schedule where we could meet for lunch or something?

Thank you for your video what is the difference in injection molding machine cushion and injection position
@injectionmoldingskillsmore10643 жыл бұрын
Cushion is the last little material in front of the screw. Injection position should be the same if you are looking at screw position. If you are looking at fill time is 1st stage till transfer then hold is next stage then the cushion would be 1/2 inch. to 1" inch on most parts. I hope this helps Thanks for watching.

If I want to do a tool transfer from one machine to the other with screw size of 32 to machine with screw size of 24 how do I calculate the shot size,changeover and speed? Thanks for great KZbins! I always watch your posts!
@injectionmoldingskillsmore10642 жыл бұрын
L/D rate is the only way to see the calculate size. Most of the time I start with the size off of the other press by taking it down by half. Then build it back up to 95 to 98% full shot. This is how I have been doing it for years, I hope this helps. Thanks for the support to the channel

What if the part deep is less than 1"? Can we still use the same rule as 1" deep?

@@injectionmoldingskillsmore1064 What if the press has hot pot material feed into the sprue gate and to the parts and have 42 cavities? Do we need to calculate the sprue gate area and multiply number of cavities to determine the clamping force?
