I agree. However, when you eventually get a homeowner loan and they calculate how much you spent on rent in the last several months, it is a low blow. 😵 Just went through this process, so it's feeling pretty raw right now. 😅

@@xkristixx you also have to think about property tax, any repairs needed to anything in the house are on you rather than a landlord, there are definite perks to “buying” a house, but like I said it really depends on the person, where they are at in life and what their goals are

Regarding your audio problem: check to see if there’s a setting on your camera that allows you to record using your camera’s internal mic and the external mic simultaneously. That way, if your external mic gives you bad audio, you have backup audio from your camera.

Clancy, take it easy with yourself. This time of year is hard on everyone and I can only imagine what's been like to you and Zac - even tougher to adjust to a new city each month and coming back to your hometown, which is a place that has a different meaning now than it ever had before. Having to adjust and understand, taking a hold of all of that, it is NOT easy and I hope you give yourself some credit to feel everything that you're feeling now without guilt. This time of year also usually brings a lot of guilt for us, for many and various reasons, so it is important for us to allow ourselves to just BE and respect our moments and seasons. WE know you are doing your BEST. I've said it before and I'll repeat it: you're an inspiration to us and don't ever let anyone make you feel otherwise. Ps. sometimes our families (distant relatives) will not get our present situation and will make annoying remarks about things on our lives that they don't know anything about... and we have got to make sure that we take those remarks with great assault that the only people really interested in our well being are our really close and loved ones and at the end of the day truly ouselves. I hope you realize this week that everything is fine, even if your whole future is not already written in stone, because actually none is, it's only a false sensation of control that some people have.

I think renting would be a smart move! The housing market, especially in FL, sucks right now and if you're not 90% sure you've nailed down the area you want to live in for at least several years, then it only makes sense to rent until you know. Also, property taxes, home insurance (in FL, you have one option for it right now and it's expensive), and HOA fees (if applicable) are all things to consider when home buying.

Re: the hair issue, one hack that seems to work well with taming a curled style is to brush it out. It doesn't seem to matter the era or what was used. Hopefully this helps! And, happy new year! Feel good in what you accomplished this year, even if it didn't happen the way you really wanted it to.

Spray a medium hold hairspray all over and use a wide toothed comb or run your hands through the curls and shake it out to loosen them up then use a stronger hold hairspray to seal the deal. Works for me and my hair can be pretty unruly when it comes to curls. Looks like y’all had a fantastic NYE! Happiest New Year to you and Zac ❤

I had the same cold that Zac had and you and your mom have. It lasted 16.5 days and then poof it was gone. Except a cough showed up at the tail end of the cold. The dry cough still lingers but only hits me once or twice a day now. I’m glad you are feeling better.

You’re smart to wait to buy. With recession fears as the Fed tries to bring down inflation, mortgage rates are going to keep getting higher. As those get higher, housing prices drop. Also, before buying, make sure you contact insurance companies to confirm they’ll cover homeowners insurance where you plan to live. Florida home purchasing is getting really difficult with either insanely high home owner insurance premiums or people losing coverage altogether because of hurricanes the past few years. And if we end up in a recession (so far they’re saying no, but always prepare!), you’re going to see a lot of job insecurity, which means people will be hesitant to take on mortgages in case they lose their jobs. Tech’s already taken really big hits. Tl;dr: Definitely wait to buy!

Buy a few bin Tupperware bins. You could each have one for clothes and one for shoes. Those stacked neatly on the side of the room will look much more organized. I totally get feeling anxious in a cluttered space. I get the same way ❤

I use my Dyson air wrap on dry hair when I curl it and it helps a lot. You can also curl it upside down, almost like using it as a curling wand and that makes more beachy waves, definitely look up more youtube tutorials, it took me some time to figure it out. I also brush it out and it looks way better after. It may also be because you have the long attachment version, they sell the short hair attachment, I think that may also help.
