I backed the expansion for the automa and extra maps. I’m not sold on the train concept, but will try it eventually.

The base game works wonderfully at 2 players, I’ve only played the expansion stuff solo. Everything that’s more stuff will work great because it’s just different options, and I think the trains will too, you each get two trains to move around to tighten the board up a bit. The train milestones give more points for the first person to reach them rather than the round you achieve them in.
