Best "Stevie in a box" I've found was a Super Six made by a company named Love Pedal. Works well to simulate a cranked Super Reverb. So, works well if you have a generally clean setting and add the pedal to it. I'm not sure how it would sound to an already cranked Super though.

Yup - the Love Pedal Super Six Stevie Mod together with a Klon is pure SRV gold.

Simply terrific! I’d always been a guitar to amp guy for 40+ years and I’d played a friends rig, with this pedal, and I was hooked! This was last August, and since then I’ve spent $5K on pedals and my pedalboard, and now I can obtain ANY tone I’m looking for and am surprised at the tones I didn’t even consider. So, this is all new too me, but now my sound is incredible! Thanks for the videos and all your help and hard work! It’s much appreciated. Best! ✌🏼

Stashman fpv. I kinda go through different phases over the years between being a straight in guy and a pedal guy. But I agree, pedals are just so much more flexible and you can usually do it at much more practical volumes. I can plug my Duellist into my Elmwood Modena m60 (which has a old plexi type clean) and I can sound like I’m plugged into a cranked super reverb at reasonable volume. Love it!!!!!

Really appreciate your open and honest reviews! I have 4 kingtone pedals and love them. I actually prefer the blues power to the duellist for my overdrive tone. Duellist is great for copping others tones. Blues power is much less compressed, more transparent and open and dynamic. beautiful boost to gain pedal. That and a fuzz and you can cover it all. Love the channel and the playing! Cheers

I’ve tried it with my Jan Ray my zendrive and my Solo Dallas, klon, Ts10, bb, I’ve tried it with everything and it sounds great with either one of those pedals I just mentioned. It really is an amazing pedal. Ain’t many things out there that can not only boost but go into full with the eq options it has. The thing I like most about it is being able to get some of my super stubborn Amps to break up with out trying to dime the volume

Interesting pedal. Would have liked to have seen more of the settings that you used for the sound you produced with this pedal. Others you may like pedal wise. Light speed. Is an awesome light or moderate overdrive. Its very organic normal driven tube sound. You can still hear the single strings ring out. Its just impressive for a pedal under $200. The other is Called an F56 pedal I believe its built by Caledonia. It has a sweet tweed sound and can make most amps sound almost as good as your 59 Bassman

I use a Boss GT8 and a Peavey special chorus amp. With this setup I run the amp on the clean side ( 3/4 to full dime on the volume and roll back the presence to about 10 o clock) This gives me pristine clean tones and when I hit it on the attack she breaks and responds just like glass. If you have ever owned a Peavey bandit then you know exactly what I'm talking about. They don't call them missippi Marshall's for nothing. I get all of the tone and half of the weight. With the gt8 I can get any tome that I want. Skinnard, bto, CCR, Sabraba Hedrix what ever I want it's awesome. I setup all my presets on my laptop using midi and I'm ready to rock on stage. The only thing that I would do different is replace the blue marvel speakers with a set of Black Widows. ..... 🤘❤🤘
@tonyevans99994 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I find I'm moving away from that tubescreamer thing, after using a broken one for a good decade before it finally said "no more!". I used it like a boost and have replaced it with two local built ones (I'm in Melbourne, Australia), listing them seems redundant, but I am anyway, I've swapped in a Hotcake (made in New Zealand, which is a little Australian insiders joke) as a clean boost as it's amazingly transparent, but it's tone control is so usable and I can compensate for how my old Fender is behaving/misbehaving, dialling in gain is really precise. For that more crunchy overdrive I have an amazing Klinger MK2, which as the name suggests is Tonebender MK2 clone, super Yardbirds/Beck tone thing going on, it can get a little crazy, but there's a sweet spot just before the crazy where it's big but the guitar and amp still retain their character. All part of the journey

In your opinion what's the difference between the Duelist and the blues Power?
@donaldnelson87644 жыл бұрын
@@BrianDonnelly68 it's all a matter of different colors for different songs. I play in a band with a harmonica playing singer, we play blues, swing, country, classic rock and surf instrumentals. I also use a wampler paisley, nobles odr-1, and an original ts808 for all of their various colors. The blues power is very transparent and enhances my amps and has less color than the other pedals and because of that, I use it the most.

Its got some great tone! Def can here SRV in there! Nice bright chime at the end of the A side. Can here the heavy handed thicker string sound on that side. They both sound good. Very good pedal in my opinion. Looks user friendly too which is a plus. I know what you mean though sometimes its not good to just rely on pedals. Im always trying to get a good sound without but if one comes along like this one and helps with the sound you trying to get why not. My sound at the moment is coming through a mesa boogie dual rectifier with some slap back. Something about that sound to me is great! Dialed in at the moment. But my other fav sound is the spring reverb you get from a fender twin reverb or deluxe. Even a blues jr can get you there. Recently had my eye on the fender bass breaker amps. They sound really good! Always good stuff man! Killer jam too! Great vibrato! Rock on!!

Was digging the B side on that pedal? The A side seemed like it needed the gain turned down? I’m rocking a Fuzzface these days, that I stack with a boost, and another Fuzz (sometimes), or roll off for a “clean” tone. Not trying to be critical, but your tone got a little bit tastier with that pedal when you roll your volume off to 7/8? Kind of glassy, with attitude. Might try living there, and saving the last two numbers for those moments when you want the more compressed softer overdrive?
