I'm 25 year's old and being a son of Pashmina manufacturer I've seen Pashmina from my childhood. The first thing he explains about if u wrap your hand by pashmina shawl or scarf your hand will become wet by sweat just because of heat it is not right. We can judge a shawl by touching it whether the shawl is pashmina Or not it is all about experience. Pashmina actually comes from ladakh and it is extract from the Pashmina goats namely Noori. The high altitude and low temperature is the main thing by which the goat grows his wool naturally.If anyone wants to know about the pure shawl in pashmina now a days it is very easy for common people to locate it by GI tagg which is Applied on the genuine shawls of Pashmina. Now we have technology to check wether the shawl is authentic or not, otherwise for professionals who do this job can get easily the good quality of Pashmina. I personally know the making of almost all varieties of shawls in pashmina like plain stoles , Shawls, designed shawls, kaani shawls, ikat, throws and much more Varieties

Let me clear ur confusion on pashmina goat it's one breed in goats found in ladakh and it's not wild goat . Pashmina wool is coming from few breed's of the goats. These goats are domesticated

But pashmina is produces from our goats, they're domesticated and we reared them, as a Ladakhi i know about pashmina and all. But i don't know about which kinda pashmina's goat he is talking about, because i didn't heard like this before, may be he is talking about wild goats, but its very difficult to find wild goat's pashmina, and here in Ladakh there is no forest, there's only barrEn mountain. I have to search about it and clarify my confusion. I'll be back 😊👍

Pashmina refers to a fine variant of spun cashmere, the animal-hair fibre forming the downy undercoat of the changthangi goat. The word pashm means "wool" in Persian, but in Kashmir, pashm refers to the raw unspun wool of domesticated changthangi goats. In common parlance today, pashmina may refer either to the material or to the variant of the Kashmiri shawl that is made from it. Both generic cashmere and pashmina come from the same goat, but generic cashmere ranges from 12-21 microns in diameter, whereas pashmina refers only to those fibres that range from 12-16 microns.

I believe this is a myth that pashmina is obtained by this (fabricated) process, however, pashmina goat is not wild, local people in Ladakh obtain the pashmina from these pet pashmina goats. Sir today I was watching your vlog so I was smiling too in between watching video coz whatever Kashmiri guy said to you is all fake and incorrect . Actually he was taking about myth's and stories he heard from others so being a real pashmina manufacturer and exporter whatever he said is unfortunately baseless . Pashmina is a high micron wool and thus called as king of wools. And fortunately in ladak region we have even highest quality of pashmina thought the world and it's very difficult to tell , is it pashmina or not coz now a days we HV pashmina like wool very soft but it's softness lasts till it's washed for couple of time and pashmina is the things that always remain so softy till years if it's tight woven. Now collection of pashmina , nomadic people in ladak region starts dehairing the goats hairs mostly in summers coz in winter's temp goes down abt -35 so it's difficult to cut the hairs in the minus condition it may lead to the death of animal coz of naked skin . And after dehairing finishes second process is cording the same material in diff sub processes and once cording is done we get real pashmina only and waste extracted in the same process and then third process starts with the making of yarn, depend upon 1. Machine made Yarn and 2 hand spun yard so after we are done with yarn , now we start making the material like shawls stole turman suits dress materials etc and after washing process is done. Now dying starts for the maftrd goods and then finishing the manufactured goods.
