4:16 I do agree with her. The final boss, Cocolia, and its music, "Wildfire," in Jarilo VI was amazing. I still remember how I was hyped with the rock music in phase 1. But when phase 2 came in, and the vocals came in, my hype went further, and I was straight vibing. But the final boss and its music in phases 2 and 3, "Hope Is A Thing With Feathers," in Penacony absolutely tops it. It was indeed PEAK FICTION! It was an amazing experience for me. The boss was so good that I had to take screenshots(because I'm playing HSR in my phone btw) so that I can remember that moment again. It's that good! I, too, wonder how they will top this.

@@roxas5071 Nah, Phantylia was also pretty hype for a boss battle, it just wasn't emotional, which makes sense for a the Luofu main story which was basically A, a side quest narratively urgent/fast paced, and B, Phantylia and Nanook's gang just want to destroy things. Plus, the only other boss that beats Phanty in stage presence is the Meme, whereas the swarm bug and aventurine kind of have some presence, but nowhere near as much as the others And for example those who aren't sucked into Penacony aren't impressed with the Robin sections of the boss theme.

You know what, after seeing this scene so many different times, I can't help but think back to how sincere Shaoji sounded during the anniversary stream, when he opened up about his and his teams' frustration with leaks. I hope after seeing the general reception to this story and boss battle, that everyone can be proud of their accomplishments. Flaws aside, I do think Penacony quite possibly tops Belobog for my favourite arc so far.

I like how almost everyone vibes to this and press random buttons while fighting this boss. This is the kind of boss where atmosphere, music, the battle itself even are gorgeous. However also have to be mindful of its last phase as it can wipe your whole team out if you don't pay attention I think (and yeah I almost got fully wiped out by it, because I started playing in 2.1, and had no fully prepared characters) 😂

The way that boss fight was set up with all the events leading to that just makes it perfect. You had so many twists along the way in the story, a battle between taking control of your own life or letting someone else do it for you, and then you had people from 6 different Paths helping out (Trailblaze, Hunt, Nihility, Enigmata, Harmony, and Remembrance and 8 if you count Preservation and Elation) in uncovering everything leading to this fight... And after all that we came full circle to that question of "Why does life slumber?" in that cutscene (that honestly made me cry a bit because that cutscene felt like the end/grand finale of the story). It's going to be really difficult for HSR to surpass this story-wise. But knowing them, they're probably on their way cooking something even better in Version 3.0.

Things to Note. Doomsday Beast's music is us facing an enemy. A strong enemy. Cocolia's music is a battle between will and fate. We stand opposite of everything Cocolia stands for. Panthylia's music is us facing a monster that is playing with us. Sunday's music is us trying to bring a misguided Villain, a broken brother back to light. Hoyoverse is definitely a music company that makes games for shits and giggles.

I love this game. HSR reminds me of the old Final fantasy turn based games that has the best writing for a short game mixed with many anime tropes and twists that we see nowadays. That depends form person to person, for me penacony as a whole was a meh to boring at best, at times it felt like they where just repeating plot beats from honkai impact 3rd (was confirmed that they got a honkai impact 3rd writer for penacony - he wrote a new character basically the same as he did a previous character) and other times it just felt like a was playing through a generic seasonal anime where 1 or 2 cool things happen and then the rest is just the characters standing around trying to sound hype but failing.

Wildfire was much more hype and created great hype moments with the robot punching Cocolia but this with the context of Robin, a character inside the game, be the one singing in the fight it’s soooo good and will never be top cause I don’t think they’ll ever release another singer character. Overall both songs are great in different ways, if someone didn’t play the game but heard the songs they’d probably think Wildfire is more suited for boss fight music but again with all the context of Penacony, this just WORKS

I'm so hype the moment Himeko says her line the "feel the will of the weak" when sunday has 5% It was so awesome when I finished the boss.

The emotional aspect of this wore off when I had to fight him 4 times to try and defeat him… funnily enough my level 70 Robin helped to defeat him
