It can be overwhelming! And I recommend hiring a bookkeeper to do this for you if it's too much for you to handle! but I have a TON of videos on quickbooks to help you out if you decide to DIY. Happy accounting :)

This was a great QuickBooks tutorial for the new year. I didn't know it was so easy to link accounts. What do you mean by read-only and also how can you improve sub-accounts further down from the chart of accounts? I have had that problem in the past. You do seem like you know what your doing

Could I use the same QuickBooks account from the previous year as Sole proprietorship(of course I will update all new info) or do I need a new account for my new entity LLC? I am not quick sure, I know I can do either one. From the perspective of CPA advice, of personal experience, which is best? **Take in consideration I have new EIN for LLC**

So glad you asked!! Do not use a quickbooks account for your new business! That would be a nightmare. Close the old account if that business is not in operations any more and get a new account. You do not want to mix the new data with the old! And the good news is that you can get the discount for a year if you sign up for a new account!
