I saw an interview with the actress, and she said playing Claire is wonderful but absolutely exhausting. The character is so tense and anxious, often panicking, speaking very quickly, yelling, and pretty much freaking out 95% of the time. Shooting for hours and hours at that level must be SO tiring!

She must need to book a very long spa break somewhere after shooting Clare Devlin for weeks on end, especially in the last series where she got even more anxious and shrieky.
