Many people think he'd put another 30-40 kg on his squat if he was wearing knee sleeves, a belt and squatted low bar, but I really doubt it. He's trained with that technique and equipment (no equipment) since the beginning and he's more efficient like that. AND... he just doesn't like all that powerlifting paraphernalia

fake weights, faker than implants. You should know this as well as anyone.... anything that is reasonably heavy does not bounce at all when it hits the floor. The fact that he's claiming that he's pulling that kind of weight with a hook grip is even more ridiculous. Then again Omar, you use fake weights as well.T I would wager big money that this guy Clarence is probably pulling closer to 400 lbs in this video. For his weight and size I will go out on a limb and say that him pulling 700 lbs would be impossible. For him to even pull 600 would be miraculous. @ShyBoy6ty95 жыл бұрын
As I understand it, ancient Greek athletes would cover themselves with oil, I believe olive oil, and train naked. When they were done, they'd scrape all the dirt, sweat, and oil from their bodies that had accumulated from training, and into a container of sorts. I didn't read about people drinking/eating it, but it was believed that if you covered yourself with the grime from one of the athletes, you'd gain some of their athletic ability i.e. you'd run faster if you covered yourself with the sweat and such from an olympic sprinter.

+clarence0 Tom Martin will probably pull 400 in the next couple of months so it's not much of a far battle but would love to see clarence vs Tom in squats

I agree but what if clarence pull with not a straight back and mixed grip? 350+?
@weeduddz8 жыл бұрын
+Alexander Begins I don't think mixing his grip will change anything cause hookgrip is the strongest grip u have just depends if ur able to hack the pain of them being below 330kg lol
@alexanderbegins76968 жыл бұрын
No hook grip is not stronger than mixed grip, and i only see olympic weightlifers using it to max out deadlifts. I dont remember any powerlifter or strongman maxing out deadlifts with hooks(maybe only misha koklyaev who was a weightlifter). Straps hook grip is a different history. I just always pull with hook grip, and tolerate the pain, it just my hook grip cant hold more than 85-87% my max mixed deadlift.

props- awesome lifting son- I saw Franco pull 700 for 3 reps in the 70's. I did chat with him briefly after. he was very short and weighed 180lbs. you're on track and pulling great!
