Clarification to aircraft dispatchers.

Great job, Mentor pilot. In the Company I work for, and it is a european flag carrier, we are used to call flight dispatchers to the people that prepare the flight plan for us (pilots). Taking into account all meteorological information, they prepare the flight plan at a specific flight level. Sometimes they avoid the repetitive route in order to take advantage of tail winds to make the flight shorter in time and fuel consumption, they also check the weather of route alternates, destination alternates and departure alternates and make changes if they think they need. Then they hand that flight plan to the pilots and we check it, with NOTAMS and other specific information as overfly permits and all that staff, and then the captain decides the final fuel figure. The people that take care of the turnaround are called turnaround coordinators or turnaround managers. They come to the aircraft when in the gate, and take care of all the process that takes place at that moment, like loading the aircraft or contacting the fuel people or catering... even making up the load sheet and LMCs at the end of the turnaround. Hello Mentour. First of all I must say that I very much enjoy all your video,s. I am a aviation enthusiast. The question on my mind, is the pressurization of a aircraft, dose it vary by altitude of the aircraft, or a constant pressure no matter of the altitude the aircraft is flying at.

Hello Mentor, I'm a certified flight dispatcher in an European country. Like you say on the video, a flight dispatcher could be much more. In Portugal, I have the responsibility to Annalise the weather, notams, calculate the payload, apply the correct pantry according to the type of flight I'm dispatching to calculate the EZFW. Based on the previous information, I'll start to create the path that the crew will fly, trying to be most economically as possible as well as the safest as possible. As you can see, in some European countries we do as our colleagues from the other side of the Atlantic. Can you tell me, in your airline, who creates your flight plans? I'll keep watching you videos. I im planing to start ATPL traning study soon, and as a choice i want to study in Dubai, Emirates Aviation College. But the fee of programme is 150000$ including place to live, so i find it much expensive than other flight schools.On the other hand it is an Emirates, and i thing it is very easy to find a job after graduation of that academy.So am i wrong? Please tell me your point of view!

hello, in my company we "flight dispatchers" prepare the meteorological folder, the NOTAMS, the operational flight plan, the ATC flight plan, the estimated fuel quantity, the estimated load bulletin, the load sheet, the loading plan, the pax manifest, we call the fueler, and finally we order the catering.

Hi!, my name is Joseph I am from the Philippines and I have son my eldest actually! and he is taking up Air Transportation in college in one of the best aviation school in my country which is PATTS, His goal really is to become a pilot someday in god's will, My question is... Do you have any idea on what would be the job when you've graduated on that course? by the way he is in 3rd year right now going to 4th year and its a 4 year course. well of course there are lots of differences between Europe and the Philippines when it comes to aviation, I just want to have an idea usually about the job when you graduated in Air Transportation, He wants to work first before getting his flying school for we don't have enough savings for him to trained flying. +Raphael Schmid Actually, a ramp agent (in the US), is someone who does any of the below the wing services, such as baggage handlers, fuelers, de-icing team, marshalers, etc. Turn around coordinator is more what this guy is explaining. The person who oversees the operation and, as he said, is the link between all the different teams working for the turn around. I am a dispatcher in the US, and we would be the ones who write the flight release and monitor the entire flight. We do share responsibility with the pilot in command to ensure a safe and efficient completion of it, among other responsibilities.
