Using the register key to go up without sqeezing.. good exercise. The bad teachers are unaware of it (those who have Clt as a 2nd instrument & charge you for poor tuition). Always go for a good player if he or she will take you on as a student.

Sounds like your reed / mouthpiece combination is too difficult for your embouchure. 😐 #needbetterequiptment
