Guru Ji, you are absolutely right. I am from Manali, and since December 20-21, there has been a huge rush of tourists. Heavy snowfall has caused traffic jams, and many tourists have been stuck in the snow in Solang Valley for 18 to 20 hours. In the Atal Tunnel, people had to spend the night in their cars, which must have been a terrible experience. Cars are slipping on icy roads, crashing into each other, and getting damaged. Hotel prices are now 3 to 4 times higher than usual. I don’t understand how people can enjoy vacations in such situations.

Completely agree to this view . Rather than enjoyment , the health goes for a toss driving 12 hours and then those inflated price you pay for the accommodation . Immediately coming back then you need to log in to work . This is stressful activity not a holiday at all .

I was very stressed and done with work 5/6 years back and I decided to take a vacation in a nearby luxury hotel. Stayed there for one/two nights. Watch sone movies. Enjoyed the food and came back to work the following week in a better mood. It works

I think this can be well optimized to cater both mind expansion and value of your home. People should travel, but seek decent hotels, rent a car if you have a family. I went to Udaipur, rented a car at airport and thats it. No sosha, I already had marked hotels, cafes etc which provide good enough service and quality at reasonable prices. Seek local folks who host you, dont seek amateur hotel owners who don't know shit about hotel management. These hotels will seek money everywhere. Go in offseasons if you can! Your travel in India shouldn't be more than 30K. India isn't a country where we get good service. Save money.
