I think the reason Lois is so mad when she found out that Clark was lying about being Superman is probably because she sees Clark as one of the nicest guys in the city and more honest than anyone. Before Clark, she probably just expected that most people in the world are liars trying to get ahead through dishonest means from criminals to corrupt capitalists to her coworkers and of course her extremely distant father. So as such she has no problem usually lying or stealing to get ahead as long as she can justify its for a greater good, especially since everyone else is doing it to her. With Clark she found someone she thought she could finally trust, and even forced her to reevaluate her own values and try to be more thoughtful like in the first episode where she realized she was being a terrible person to Clark and Jimmy. But when she realized Clark was lying then Clark became just like the rest of the people in her life and her defensive walls went back up with a vengeance

Well I did, I like that interpretation. Personally I don’t have any issues with that scene I just wish it was a few episodes later so we could get more “I need a bagel” scenes;) but personally I am loving this show so much that I’m willing to overlook some of the minor pacing issue🙂

Superman done right is one of the best characters there are. Superman done the Snyder way is one of the worst characters there are. The key is signaling that his scout nature is one he's adopted by choice rather than just being his nature. He knows how easy it would be for him to just end the villains he fights. Nowhere is this shown better than in the "Superman vs the Elite" adaptation of "What's So Funny About Truth, Justice, and the American Way." This is where Injustice failed hard. Instead of, Superman being fooled into killing Lois Lane Joker should just have shot her and then taunted Superman that he would never do anything to him and then just take him to the authorities, who would send him to an asylum that he would escape from and then kill again. And then Superman overcome with emotions would kill him and then slowly decide that using violence is the only way. This would also be in character for the Joker as the "joke" would be that he could do whatever he wanted without the heroes being able to stop him permanently. That would be a hilarious gag to the Joker in his own reasoning. Instead, we got that abomination.
