I can see why this “journey” was needed; to show growth, bonding, trust, etc. But I would have liked to also see how they understand why he couldn’t. He has alien powers, he becomes a superhero, and has bad guys following him. You think as reporters who go into dangerous places, they understand secrecy and protection of private lives.

As a guy who has seen more than one Superman show and comic. Trust me it doesn't matter if they know or not, they are still going to be kidnaped and used as leverage for superman. It was like half of the villain plots in the 90s version.
